This is a lovely place to have a sit down or to sunbathe in thes ummer. The gardens are beautifully laid out and it is just a nice relaxing park.

The museum gardens are such a nice way to get out of the bustle of the city for a little while. Not that York is particularly bustling. The landscaping is beautiful and the Abbey is really cool to see, imagining the history around it and appreciating the architecture even in such a state is very cool.

I've loved theses gardens for years. The planting is great all year round and there is always a place to sit and reflect. It's made even more beautiful with the river in view.

A lot of people around during my visit. Beautiful garden where it's nice to walk around. There's a lot of good spots to sit around and have a small picnic. Outside a lot of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. And, even have "Owl Adventures" inside the garden. A must-see in York!

This was another great place to wander around at your leisure , could not understand how big the Abbey must have been . Loads of good exhibits

A wonderful space to stroll around or to sit and watch the world go by. The river running parallel is also lovely to see what craft are on the water. The Birds of Prey attraction is always worth a visit and informative chat with the handlers. So take a picnic, or just buy a sandwich nearby, and enjoy. It is... More
