we visited here recently - it is always very clean and very well kept. we took our own picnic and just sat on the grass - it was lovely to see people just relaxing and not a care in the world.

What a little gem this place is, a must visit when in York. Popped in for a peacefull ice cream after a long days shopping. Really well kept as well.

They were filming and the gardens were full of music, dancers, large sheep, brass band which meant we were limited to where we were allowed to walk but most enjoyable.

We use the car park off Botham and so walk through the gardens to the city centre. It is always busy when the weather is good and there are frequent activities going on to entertain the kids.

This is a beautiful space, gardens and wooded areas that contain the ruins of St Marys abbey. Great for a stroll, along the river bank.

Its worth taking time out from the busy streets of York to walk around the Museum Gardens. There are plenty of inquisitive squirrels running around the well maintained and clean gardens. It has such a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.
