Wandering round in heat stumbled across this little gem. Cool old fashioned pub and interior to match, old fashioned hospitality, good real ale selection, beer garden. But best of all old sixties/seventies music blasting out. Worth trekking uphill for a pint.

No stars because the furniture reeked of cat wee, the beers were undrinkable, the place was filthy. Couldn’t find one positive about the place, upon entering you’re faced with all the bins - not a positive sign!

It's such a shame that what could be a local treasure of a pub serving good real ale is such an unfriendly place and run in so discourteous a way! Leave this one to the grumpy locals & rude management and spend your hard-earned tourist...More

Really nice, friendly pub. Good choice of ales as well as your regular tap beers. Old J which is a bonus for any rum lover. Really good juke box and lovely outdoor area where you can still hear the music thanks to the outdoor speakers

Possibly the worst pub I've ever visited. Dirty, unfriendly, with moronic customers, and perfectly dreadful beer. Maybe it is the CAMRA obsession, but if that's good beer (I tried two types) I'll switch to lager. If it was possible to award nil points that would...More

My partner and I went here for an evening pub crawl. Firstly the 'welcome' by the bar staff was frosty to say the least, no smile, no chatter didn't say a word at all! The atmosphere of the place matched the staff, not sure if...More

Definitely not to be confused with 'The Angel' which is a bog standard Wetherspoons down in the harbour, this is a gem of a real ale pub in Flowergate, Whitby, a charming part of the town. This was recommended to me by another pub! Good...More

Visited here during a recent re-visit to Whitby. Good little pub uphill off the quayside but with a good atmosphere. Good selection of beers and lagers.

The Little Angel is an excellent real ale pub in Whitby, just a few minutes walk from the harbour. It is relatively small, but offers enough space for live music, which was on the night I visited (And I suspect it's on frequently (daily?)). And...More

Lovely looking pub with great character, however the landlady is just horrendous! Unhelpful, unfriendly and rude.

Hi. Yes we allow children in, however, if they are still quite young then we would ask that they not be there after 9pm as the pub gets very busy after that. Other great pubs in Whitby I would recommend are The Dolphin... More
