Off the Harbour front there are a few good pubs, this is one of them, typical inviting English pub atmosphere, good staff with good alcohol choices, well worth a pint.

Took a last minute decision to stay over instead of a day trip and we had a great time. Pub staff were friendly and the real ales available plus Yorkshire Tapas looked great.

So much history in one little place. Great prices, tasty bar food and the best location in town, convenient to the bottom of the 199 steps that ascend to the Abby. Bram Stoker wrote, "Dracula" when he lived here, and climbed those steps every day...More

We went into the pub several times during a recent holiday and found the food to be good quality and the staff great. Lovely atmosphere with locals and tourists combined and we would recommend the place to anyone ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„

Whenever we come to Whitby The Black Swan is our 1st stop. Clean & tidy and John the landlord is extremely friendly as is the rest of the staff and dog friendly

Nice pub with a lovely friendly atmosphere. We were in a large group of couples and were made to feel welcome. This pub is dog friendly, i was greeted by one of the locals with his gorgeous dog .

Two men on singing great songs and could dance, bouncer was very keen though and was stood in the middle were people wanted to dance counting people in and out. Toilets clean and drinks reasonable
