Need a rest from the hubbub of Whitby harbour, head to Pannett Park just a short walk from the harbour, stunning floral displays carefully laid out gardens, plenty of benches basked in sunshine populated with wildlife and not too many seagulls (who can be noisy). Enjoy a packed lunch, or visit the cafe in Pannett Museum. Once refreshed you could... More

We were staying in an apartment in Upgang Lane and regularly walked through this park to get to the sea or the town. It is so lovely to wander through the dappled light and see the trees and flowers in their various stages of development. There are creative sculptures too. The only disappointment perhaps was the lily pond which needed... More

Lovely inner city park with great views of the valley and hills opposite. A clean tidy gem that is worth a visit and perhaps a picnic. A little oasis to escape, from trecking the cobble stone streets and eating fish and chips.

What a beautiful, well looked after and quaint little park. Peaceful, spotlessly clean and inventive, with wonderful views to the Abby... I recommend picnicking here ! WOW ! Thank you for the warm welcome Panett Park :)

The play area is fantastic. Quite possibly the best one I have very been too. Gardens are beautiful and sadly missed the jurassic garden. Museum was a typical victoriana collection of curiosities - different things at every turn. Fossils were great including a box of things you could handle.

A nice area to chill after visiting the attractions of Whitby. It has different areas with sundials, floral clocks, ferns, rose arches, Japanese water garden and some sculptures. Well worth a relaxing sit down.

Pannett Park is directly opposite Rylstone Mere, in Bagdale and is immaculately kept and signage is informative. It also offers various exits into different parts of the town and is fun for young and older!
