Using a Two Together railcard this was the usual bargain for a Day out from Hartlepool ( £7.10 each return). What we tend to do is to buy papers, then coffee from Spoons in Hartlepool. Hopefully you are lucky to get one of the more...More

We enjoyed using this great train service to complete a walk along the Esk Valley Way. Services are infrequent but as long as you time your walk accordingly then you are able to catch trains st different stations to start and finish your walk.

Really enjoyed the rail tour that came through on Saturday. Great watching the steam engines on the mainline. Especially with Whitby in the background.

If you get off at Grosmont you can walk through one of the worlds oldest passenger railway tunnels built in 1836. The railway no longer passes through it but you can on the way to NYMR Depot
