I guess it is the inevitability of "progress" - although the building is impressive I suppose, as a boring old f**t, I thought it just looked out of place in a city which, for the most part, still has a lot of ancient charm. The cafe at the entrance was OK, if entirely disorganised (during my visit) - BUT, the... More

You are probably in Norwich to shop at Chapelfield or Castle Mall, so why call into the Forum? You can have a coffee or a meal or use the toilets, but there is so much more. The library has the usual books and DVDs but also the USAF 2nd Air Division Memorial Library. The BBC has a gallery area which... More

Our visit to The Forum and the library was stress-free and relaxed. The library and Forum were "nice and tidy" and the library had a "good choice of DVDs and books to borrow". The "library was good" and it is great to "go to the library to look at books". The library was also "nice and quiet". Our group enjoyed... More

I love the Forum and its surroundings. There are many things going on for you to enjoy, whether it is to read books in the library and watch some documentaries on the first floor, eat and drink on the second floor, or just simply go out and sit on the stairs to enjoy the sun. And if you are lucky... More

Architecture in Norwich is broad spectrum of styles from ancient to modern and the Forum falls into the latter as one of the better sort of "millennium buildings". It turns the principle of an atrium from simply the roofing over of a space between other buildings into the prime element of a cohesive whole. It needs to be a home... More

Usually stop by to see what events are going on when in Norwich. Nice modern open and well lit building which often has photo shows which are free below where the BBC studios are. Always a buzz as Library and several eating places here also.

Since it was built as the memorial for the Millenium the Forum has become the focal point for the City. Housing the BBC East Region, the Norwich City Library, a restaurant and Tourist Information Centre as well as a Memorial Section to the USAF who served in Norfolk during WW2 the indoor area of The Forum often houses specialist exhibitions....
