My first visit and very impressed, the comedian was great but I loved the intimacy of the small theatre. I wish it were easier to get a drink at the bar, I opted to go to the Belgian Monk during the interval.

Aside from one actress occasionally letting some Anglican (maybe?) sounding twang into her "southern accent, nothing about the house nor the show came across as amateur in the slightest. Remarkably professional lobby and house, excellent performances and accents from the US South in "Steel Magnolias," and all at a modest £12 ticket price for a Saturday matinee... meaning I didn't have to drive the narrow twisted roads in the dark, praise be to Allah. Easy to book on the phone that morning with an immediate follow-up email. Professional seeming all round. A great find for a couple of Yanks looking for something to enjoy of a rainy Saturday. Parking on a Saturday was a significant challenge, but in the end we got into a dozen (that we could see) car queue that inched forward a car or two at a time, as others left the huge multi-level indoor car park. The locals appeared to have faith they'd make it in, so we did too. Maybe a 15 minute vigil that ended happily for us.…

The Maddermarket is a beautiful theatre. Holds lots of events. I love the madermarket. However they have recently updated their website which is no longer apple friendly. I have tried everything and even gone to private browsing. I’m quite tech savvy but can no longer view madermarket productions. I don’t understand why you would move to a website that alienates half your market. …

Saw towards zero here last week, lovely old theatre, affordable show, drinks and snacks reasonably priced. Great show enjoyed it more than professional Agatha Christie theatre group that have the same cast of once semi famous actors charging 3 times the price, will definitely go back.…
