Despite a heavy price tag (£8.50 per head without discounts), this is a very impressive building and the history of Norwich and surrounding area is told through activities, displays, films, guides and reconstructions. The great hall is amazing in detail and scale, while the galleries reveal much of our British heritage. It was good to see several school groups carrying... More

The upper floor takes the form of a balcony off which there are several interesting niches one of which is a set up as a privvy, no doubt to the amusement of younger visitors. Another is the 'Bigod Arch', which at one time was the main entrance to the castle keep. It features carving including hunting scenes. A room off... More

We enjoyed visiting this historic site as there is so much to see and do, especially for children and adults alike, many artefacts to discover when looking round, such a lot to see and well worth the money, a must in Norwich

Our first visit to the keep and very pleasantly surprised at the standard of the displays. The art galleries in particular were outstanding. Just a pity staff and parents think it is acceptable for young children to shout and scream in an art gallery. Plenty to see and do for s couple of hours at least.

Visited a little while back but didn't get time to review. Great day out, and with the improvements to the main keep and animal gallery there is so much more for families to do. Loads to see and a fantastic cafe too at really reasonable prices. Love it!

I love going here for a day out its nice just to learn about the history of Norwich even though I live in Norwich. I went with my friend and we had a very good time, a must do is the dungeons and walk on top of the roof as you can see a lot of Norwich up there on... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the castle on our first trip to Norwich. Lots to see and experience for the young historian. Food in the cafe was lovely and service very efficient

£7 entry for adults, NOT including the battlements or dungeons tours. The Norman Keep is interesting if you're interested in Normal architecture. The galleries are interesting if you happen to be interested in: -- teapots -- stuffed animals -- Cameroonian wood carvings -- the Norwich School of artists -- Boudica and the Icenii -- reproductions of things now in the... Standing on a high mound above the city an imposing sight, now a museum with many interesting exhibits from the earliest times to today.
