Tucked away behind the catholic cathedral. This is a restful hideaway, that is calm but intriguing. It will only take 20 minutes to walk around all the winding paths. Feels like an eccentric Victorians garden, which is probably what it is.

Small but perfectly formed, these gardens are set in a cosy Victorian hollow with some interesting structures and the atmosphere of an undiscovered secret. The only shame is that the owner of the neighbouring and very shabby hotel is obviously very hostile to garden visitors - be careful where you park - although the garden is only a short walk... I used to live near Earlham Road for 2 years and if I was walking past this was a nice place to stop and have a few quiet minutes - or eat my sandwiches for lunch. The walk around the garden is nice too.

My partner and I enjoyed a weekend stroll round the Plantation garden, the steps may be too much for older visitors at the end, however they can sit by the fountain and enjoy the beautiful views. A Great place to relax.

We took some friends round these gardens and just fell in love with the whole area. It is so well looked after and well thought out - we had a lovely couple of hours just wandering around.

Whenever I'm feeling a bit fed up with the noise of roadworks and traffic in central Norwich I like to take myself off to this tranquil place. It is truly an oasis of peace and, as the seasons change, so of course does the garden's appearance which lends a fresh eye to the beholder. It should be on most people's... More

Hidden away from sight by a screen of trees even most Norwich people don't know about this little gem! A gorgeous garden planted in the Victorian times with walls, steps and a fountain all made from reclaimed masonry (yes, they were reclaiming things even in the Victorian times!). Framed by the gothic Roman Catholic cathedral it's like stepping back in... More
