I went to ask the Information desk inside the station about where to park a moped, scooter or motorcycle in around the station building (which has car parking and cycle parking). There were three information desk assistants I was talking to. None of them knew where to park/leave your moped/scooter/motorcycle whilst you take a train. In the end somebody called 'Ray' said 'just park it where the bicycles are, it is alright'. I went to look at the cycle storage. You cannot park a motorised two wheeler there. There is no space within the covered stand because it has structures to put one's bicycle which do not allow enough space to fit a motorised two wheeler. Besides, its run by the city council! I just gave up and it looks like everybody else on mopeds etc are parking on the outside wall of the station where there used to be parking for them, although there is no parking signs. When I was there yesterday there were four mopeds and scooters parked next to the wall. I find it astonishing that 'information' desk has no information on basic needs for rail travelling. Pretty idiotic.

Loved the architecture of the building and found it very easy to find my way round and find my train. Staff were great. I bought coffee and cookie from the friendliest staff in the Subway there - went in because it wasn't busy and was so pleased that I did.

Stations don't get much better than this. Love the architecture which is complimented with modern shops to buy all you need for you journey. Is to read displays and platform info.

The train station is pleasant enough, but it is not anything special. Most of the architecture is lost in the modern amenities inside, but these amenities allow it to function sufficiently as a train station. It a good place to leave from, but no particularly interesting offerings.

A listed building some way from the city centre with pricy eating places and a small coop/ Marks & Spencer food outlet. The building is a nice design but the platforms are shoddy and unkempt. No seats at the end of the platforms so on sunny days you have to stand - the platforms all need more seats. The main canopy leaks and is in poor condition in the rain making the marble concourse slippery as it leaks.

I parked in the short time car park for about ten minutes today. My first time of doing this. Should I have paid a fee.

At the bus bay or in the car park at the station car park. It should be easy to access.
If you plan to stay a long there is a multi-storey car park opposite the station which is reasonably priced.

Picking somebody up from the station tonight, where can I wait

Due to pick up my daughter at station tomorrow. Understand the train due in from Nottingham at 11.15 is now a bus replacement service from Peterborough. What time can I expect her and does the bus come into Norwich railway station?
Written September 11, 2020
Hi there, it is quite easy to pick up people there and there’s even a huge parkinglot just across the station! I do believe that pick up can be done for free but please contact the station directly to be 100% sure.

My 92 year old father-in-law needs to go to Sheringham, are there steps involved once he gets off the train at Norwich?
Written September 2, 2018
There are pay and display car parks on two sides of the station and near the front on the right and opposite as you exit the main entrance about 4 or 5 car park bays have limited free drop off and collect waiting. (about 15 minutes if I remember correctly)

If I travel from Wroxham to Norwich by train, is the station within walking distance of the city attractions?
Written May 29, 2016
Yes it is ....if you can walk most things are with in a 10 min walk but it is quite hilly in places. There are buses from the station to the city centre etc.
