- SuzanneW227 contributionsThoroughly enjoyed ourselvesWe had a gift voucher so came along today having pre booked. The Manager was very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. My OH had the beer flight and as designated driver I had the Alcohol Free which, due to dry January was on free refills. As we had booked online we got the second burger for a pound and the manager explained the most cost effective way of ordering sides. The burger was delicious, although the sides were a bit underwhelming. We both chose dessert too. Very enjoyable despite how cold it was in there ( in fairness it was a bitterly Cold day and I imagine the building would be a nightmare to heat). My recommendation would be to dress really warmly in there.Thank you for this amazing review, its always nice to hear such nice feedback!! - ShigammLondon, United Kingdom1,521 contributionsUsual typical brewdog barOf all the pubs I visited in Suffolk and Norfolk areas this was the one with the least welcoming welcome when I arrived at the bar. It was a busy bar due to being wings Wednesday but as much as I love Brewdog this was a very a-typical welcome to the pubs which is a shame. We asked to see the allergy menu which the server was helpful at getting but didn’t go the extra mile by asking if we wanted any help with it etc which is a shame. Average price - pint and gin - £12.50Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 29, 2024
- jonbishNorfolk, United Kingdom202 contributionsAverage at best food.We had some vouchers for a meal at Brewdog which is why we visited. We knew Brewdog were expensive for drinks as we’d been to one in London before but you expect that in London. Bar prices in Norwich were pretty much the same tbh. What I don’t understand is a pint of Brewdog punk ipa is £5.95 but in a Weatherspoons it is £4.41. Surely Weatherspoons has to buy it in, but then they can sell it cheaper? We ordered food, I had a full English and my wife had the Vegan breakfast. At £13:45 the full English was disappointing 2 thin sausages, two very thin streaks of bacon with cold mushrooms. Vegan breakfast was better, but again £13. I appreciate that prices have gone up but these meals just aren’t worth what they charge, luckily we had vouchers. There Plenty of local pubs selling better food for similar prices or less. Staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere in the venue. We would maybe have gone back there again but as they don’t take cash l would definitely not go again. As far as I’m concerned cash is legal tender but they refuse to accept it.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 1, 2024

We (a table of 3) went to the wings night, ordered the unlimited wings and our first (and only) tray came within about 10 minutes. Asked if I could have some more, "sure, I'll go grab them for you". 40 minutes later we're still waiting. We start watching the kitchen staff, one of them served us our beers earlier and is now making the food so we guessed we got the short straw, they seemed happy chatting with a backlog of about 20 tickets on the line.
What really made us laugh was that every 2-3 minutes the kitchen staff were checking their phones and having a chat. The table next to us had no food, the table across them had no food, we had no food. They didn't seem too worried about the food situation.
No server to be found, no wings after 40 minutes. We asked for the server, and asked where the wings were. "We're really busy tonight, your order was actually placed 35 minutes ago not 40 minutes ago." Oh, that makes all the difference, 35 minutes for some chicken wings it is then...
We asked how much longer, the server talked to the guy in the kitchen with lovely hairbands, who then gave our table a good long stare, then the server came back and said "yeah the wings are going to be another 20 minutes."
That would have been 60 minutes in total for 3 portions of chicken wings, around 6-7 wings per tray.
We downed the beers, asked for a discount or refund and explained how ridiculous the service is, and left and got 3 HUGE meals in a busy restaurant up the road with a waiting time of around 10 minutes.
BrewDog, you normally do better than this, but that was so far off the mark I think I'll need convincing to go back.

It was our first time visiting BrewDog, all staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our server, Ollie (with the beard), was on point the entire night, He kept us well informed and checked in regularly. Very friendly and helpful attitude; which really helped when we had to split the bill out across the large group. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed the local brews. Will definitely revisit.

We went here each night of our 4 night stay as the quality & range of beers easily surpassed competitors. Plenty of staff though on one night I had to go to the bar to collect my beer (after ordering via the app) as it was standing alone there for 7 minutes whilst staff chatted at the other end of the bar. All other times, the process was very smooth.

Horrible service (suspect lack of staff) ordered on the app as apparently being served is soooo last year, nearly an hour later some barely warm burgers turn up and are distinctly average at best. Toilets were dirty, the place is dingy and cold. Avoid, plenty of nice places to go instead.

A friend booked a table for 4 & we met for food and drinks on a Saturday afternoon. All c-19 checks were done & our details were taken (via scanning a QR code) on the door. Enjoyed 5 pints and a meal each throughout our afternoon. 3 of the 4 of us are vegetarian and I’m also dairy intolerant, so generally have vegan dishes. There was good choice for all of us & my burger with sweet potato fries was amazing. Definitely going to be back for the vegan 2-for1 meal meals on a Monday soon!
The service was via the app (which I used & was easy-peasy to use) or table service from the staff. They all wore masks & observed social distancing. And the service was great. Thanks for making my first pub visit post lockdown such an enjoyable experience.

Disappointing!!! Such a shame this has gone down hill. We are regulars here and have found prices have increased but quality has gone down. We recently had the chicken wings which tasted sour, felt like they were cooked from frozen and they were overcooked and smoothered in a hot sauce which tasted artificial and ruined what is usually a great dish. Selection of drinks has become limited but prices have significantly increased. What makes this worse is we had complained to management over two months ago but have not received a reply. Will not be returning which is a shame as it usually a regular haunt.

New Year’s Eve party 2023
Booked tickets at £15 each for a table of 4.
Advertised as 1990’s prices with 1990’s music.
Arrived 7.30 and we we’re given at wrist band. Having booked a table you’d expect there to be one - NO.
Provided with a ‘menu’ for the beers (limited selection) and spirits at 1990 prices. One of our party went to the bar for our drinks only to find out all 4 of us had to go - to show our wrist bands- absolutely ridiculous! On top of that the bar man was very rude. Beer was not to our taste and definitely was not playing 1990’s music. Told the door man what we thought and left after 20mims. Total waste of money and miss advertising. Won’t be returning.

Really abysmal service honestly. I’m personally a waitress so understand how everything works and I’m usually very forgiving/understanding however here it’s impossible to do that. Waiting 40 minutes for someone to come over to ask what wings we want (wing wednesday) as well as drink. We were told by the first server that they come to us so that’s what we did, we sat and waited while making a point of looking at them every now and again to show we were ready. All staff other than one on bar literally just standing around ignoring their tables. Every other table around us sat there too wondering what the heck was going on. There were 4/5 FOH staff in a not busy at all restaurant. When we eventually got to order, 40 minutes later, they didn’t have the seitan wings, the wings we came for. On a wing Wednesday, after leaving us sat there for the best part of an hour, we settled for cauli wings which were horrible in comparison to what we wanted and had been planning to have for weeks. There was absolutely no informing us of this when we were sat down if not we would have probably left then. It’s a massive massive shame that Brewdog honestly have the most horrific FOH staff in Norwich; their vegan food is incredible but we have thoroughly been put off by this visit and will also be passing on to family and friends not to go there.

Came to Brewdog Norwich for brunch with 5 friends at lunchtime on a Saturday and was a bad experience to say the least. We arrived at 12:00 and ordered our food, many items were listed incorrectly on the website, we waited 55 mins for our food before asking why it was taking so long as the restaurant was not busy, the bloke came back and told us it would be 5, then 15 minutes later our food came. After 1h10 minutes of waiting we finally received the food, three lots of pancakes were undercooked and one was completely burnt, so burnt it was inedible, eggs were also very gloopy and undercooked, crazy to know how they thought it was acceptable to serve it. We didn’t even receive an apology from the staff and they didn’t acknowledge us once while waiting or eating, overall extremely disappointed and will not be returning to Brewdog Norwich.

First time in this bar, really liked the decor and low level lighting, it felt very welcoming and homely. Good selection of beers, if not a bit pricey. Had a burger which was very tasty, but again quite pricey for what it was, just a burger. Had no problem getting drinks, but it was a weekday afternoon between Xmas and New Year, so wasn’t overly busy. My only truly negative comment I have is in regards to the kitchen staff preparing the food, none were wearing any kind of hair coverings, which I thought was a mandatory requirement.
