Lovely walk through the woods and lots of wooden sculptures to find
Sep 2020
We parked for free in the carpark at Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park. First we went for a walk up Eston Nab (reviewed separately) but as this did not take long, maybe 90 minutes, we had plenty of energy left to explore the park and spent over an hour walking some of the trails.

The wooden sculptures were fun to discover on our walk and I took several photos. The paths were good, mostly hard-packed dirt and flat and easy to walk. There are lots of different routes to take, gently sloping up and down hill, and most are circular. I enjoyed walking through the picturesque woods, with the sunlight dappled by the green leaves.

There is a children's play area which looked fun and a trim trail for adults. There are several Pokestops and gyms here as all of the wooden sculptures have their own Pokestop.

I very much enjoyed our walk around the park and will return again soon to explore some of the other trails.

Park up at Flatt's lane for free and walk up through the woods and you can look down over Middlesbrough and Guisborough with some amazing views.
Fairly quiet but you do have to keep a look out for youths on bikes.

Centre closed Saturday 1pm

Went today for the first and last time. The Saturday of a bank holiday weekend hungry for a bit of lunch before a walk around and the visitors centre was closed. Unbelievable.

Enjoyable walk
Dec 2018 • Friends
Fancied somewhere different on a December day and found on well to be honest TA, a country park I had not heard off and happened to be close so paid a visit. Good paths which you can make longer or shorter as you wish, and I believe that they all are a circular route anyway. Much enjoyed and some lovely scenery. Will visit again. Free parking . Only fly in the ointment was an abandoned car in the country park.
The facilities where closed but probably because it was December.

A fantastic woodland
Aug 2018 • Family
A great outdoor space with a woodland primarily made of native species. With a park kids love and some excellent interpretation and management infrastructure, as well as mils of walkway, this is a great day out.
