Serene lake, lush greenery, and great for a peaceful stroll. However, some areas could use a bit more maintenance. It's a nice spot for picnics, but more benches would be appreciated. Overall, a charming park with room for improvement.

when we went, my friend spotted a drunk smoking cannibis who was sleeping in the children's area which my cousin wanted to play in. my friend then spoke to the drunk which then resulted in him having a glass beer bottle thrown at him! and when we were trying to find a different spot to play, we were disturbed by a gang of teens catcalling at us. 1/5 almost got mugged.

Love going in here to have alaugh with mates and feeding a duck i've named Gloria. I went with my boyfriend and we had a very good date in the park. It was amazing for a picnic and a warm walk to see the pavillion.

Once a lovely park, now a no-go area, full of teenagers, canisters (i am told are drugs), and you feel like you are going to get jumped there, it is such a shame, it is a nice park but after walking through recently felt threatened by the groups hanging around.

This is a beautiful park and should be a spacious oasis in the middle of Middlesbrough. Unfortunately, when we visited in the middle of a summer afternoon, we were very aware of the number of people sitting around drinking or dozing on the benches around the central fountain. This feels off-putting and intimidating. There was also a lot of dog dirt around, too, despite the bins.
There are two, playgrounds. One is aimed at th over 13s, which is a great idea. It was empty when we were there, but I'm told it is well-used in the evenings. The younger children have a large playground, but the surface around it is sand, so make sure you do a good search before letting children run around here. There are a lot of cigarette ends and other bits of rubbish in the sand.

Good day out. Nice park and play area. The children loved roller skating. We all had a go and had a good laugh .

Yesterday was a beautiful day and the park was full of children with families. There was however a very large number of cyclists speeding through the park without a care for the pedestrians. There were also drunks sat on the benches with their large bottles of cheap cider and very strong cans of larger. We did not see any Rangers, Park staff, Street Wardens, Police or PCSO's. We did, however pick up several empty bottles and put them in the bin. The fountain was working in the middles of the park which is in itself very unusual, however the water was full of rubbish. The fountains in the lake were as usual not working and have not been for many months. How on earth this park received a green flag award is amazing to me. This park could be beautiful and safe if the Council could be bothered to make it so.

Went to Albert park today for the mela ,the park is lovely and spacious enough , we parked nearby on the green opposite the port hole cafe and it was a lovely sunny day, plenty to see and do and rides galore ,stalls and plenty of eateries to sample, not enough table and chairs near food outlets and also unfortunately when there see a bit of trouble with police trying to sort out two young lads dealing drugs.a good couple of hours here if weather fine, wasn’t as busy as i thought but just enough to take your time enjoying it.

Admittedly it's not the councils fault but If there were more police on the streets this would be a much nicer park. In all honesty it's full of nutters.

Visited the park with my wife and two grand children in January 2018, as we were about to enter the park via the gate on Linthorpe Road I spotted two men sat on a bench with bottles of cider at their feet, as soon as these men spotted me they came up to me asking me for money, when I refused them I got a mouth full of verbal abuse.
I ignored them and walked into the park, once in the park my 6 year old grandson needed to use the toilet , as I escorted him to the toilet we almost fell over with a youth fast asleep on the toilet floor. We quickly removed ourselves from the toilet block and made our way to the boating lake only to find another man sat on one of the park benches totally drunk and shouting at one of the trees. We immediately returned back to our car and vowed never to return to Albert Park.
