I love the size of this theatre, which is small enough to be intimate and really make you feel part of the show. I've already booked to go back again in a few months.
Our show was fully booked out and so the venue was very crowded, the staff managed the crowds very well and were all polite and cheerful when we had any questions.
Surprisingly there was enough ladies toilets for the size of the theatre! Despite being fully booked and the audience 99% women! We all managed to get to the bathroom in the 20 minute interval, with time to spare. Seats were comfortable, if a little narrow. We were sat in Row 2, but the height of the stage was very good so we could enjoy the whole show very comfortably without craning our necks.
As this was an adults only show (Forbidden Nights, so think Full Monty type) there was a lot of women in the audience celebrating and wanting to have a few drinks. The only little issue I could see was that the bar wasn't big enough! or there wasn't enough staff. As when we went to have a look 20 minutes before the show started the queue was all the way from the bar, all down the stairs and into the foyer, so there was no way that everyone could get served before the show started. For these type of shows the theatre could make a lot more money by staffing the bar or even putting up a temporary pop up bar elsewhere.
It was a great idea to put up a screen in the foyer for people to take photos with, not sure if this was the show or the theatre's idea.
We had a great night out and will be back again soon.

Booked up to see Snow White Panto,we had a box theatre seat which was perfect for our grandchildren, good view of stage and no one else close by.
The performance was good with Muddles and Nursie being the stars of the show, lots of laughter and great fun for all ages.
The theatre hasn't changed much which is good, it's kept it's cosy feel to it and not overcrowded.Already planning to see some plays in the new year.

Went see Cinderella pantomime today with my daughters and grandchildren and we weren’t disappointed. We attend every year and have done for many years and we had another brilliant afternoon. The ambiance, production, cast, costumes, musicians, behind the scenes, box office staff etc all work together to produce the very best pantos. Thank you all for another happy memory.

My daughter who has terrible anxiety and I went to the Abba tribute tonight.
What is the world coming to, lovely people in the audience, innocent people wanting a dance, not allowed to stand up and dance. A few 60 year old women getting told off, I will never go there again. I am shocked, what is the world coming to if at a Abba night, on a Saturday evening in Middlesbrough, we can’t move off our seats.
I am sure the band want to see people having fun.
I totally understand if it’s a play, but a music event!
There was a very supportive member of staff who was understanding, but some of the staff were awful like night club bouncers.
I was just shocked at the whole evening.
it wasn’t like that a few years ago.

Another year and another panto as this glorious little theatre. I have been going to the pantomimes here for more years than I care to remember and they never fail to amaze. A brilliant production of Jack and the Beanstalk today with a fantastic cast, the best costumes and brilliant theatre staff. Thank you all so do much. xx

I love going to the theatre with my family and we cane to see my friend in a show. The front of the theatre is lovely and the inside is a good size. The interior theatre is a cute small theatre for small shows and is lovely. I really recommend the theatre as it is beautiful and really great for small shows.

This is one of Middlesbrough little gems. The staff are helpful and the theatre is spotless. Snake and drinks are very resnable and they always put on a lot of traveling shows as long as some of the best amateurs too. Alway love visiting

No, it's in a residential area.
Plenty about a mile away on Linthorpe Road. Cheers

Pretty good - my wife works with people with physical and mental issues and regularly goes there with people in wheelchairs and she has had no issues. Worth booking seats down stairs and checking with them to get the right seats so that you can sit next to each other.
