Smelly courtyard
Sep 2021
Let me start by saying how proud I am of what is for me a local townhall. A must visit for history buffs and you can learn one of its gems every time you visit
However we have just returned from an event inthe courtyard and I don't intend to attend another one there.
It was cold so not sure why they did not move it indoors. They said it was due to covid but we had been to an indoor event the month before.
This was a play but mard by the venue. It was freezing cold and the wind tunneled down the enterances as did the music from the bars outside. A bus stop was outside so a bus and its fumes and reving were noisy and off putting
The yard itself was dirty and an drain gave off a foul smell throughout the preformance.
The bar staff were pleasant but despite being a reduced audience and standing I in a queue for the whole interval (little concerns for social distancing there I see), we were ushered back saying it was a minute to go.
In the second part of the performance was again acoustically challenged by a security guard securing the door to the offices opposite electronically and therefore noisily. Vwas really very glad to get home.

Interesting

This building is quite interesting to have a look around and it's obviously in an easy location to find. The architecture is well worth a look.

Iconic Teesside building

Iconic Teesside building, Refurbishment has been of great quality, while keeping the Great Hall, the fire station is great. A super place for the community and visitors

Not much to see here, just a short walk from the shops in town centre
Jul 2020
Middlesborough Town Hall is located in the town centre, but not really worthwhile a visit as such. Walk past, look briefly at the architecture and walk on. We only walk past when we're playing Pokemon Go, as the town centre obviously has a lot of pokestops

Amazing staff
Mar 2020
Visiting the area and popped in as we thought the tourist information was located there. Unfortunately, it hasn't been for several years but not to worry! We ended up having a tour of the building. The old fire station, the cells and courtroom and the event hall. We may just have to return for a gig as the accoustics and surroundings were rather impressive in the main hall. Deffo the highlight of our trip to MIddlesbrough. Massive thank you to the amazing Wayne for going out of his way to show us round and telling us all about this gem of a building.

Not great

Saw Joe Lycett here last year. Well, it sounded like him. It just looked like a brightly lit blur.

He had merchandise in the main foyer after the show but we weren't allowed in. We were all ushered out via a fire exit into the street.

Disappointed doesn't even cover it.

First visit to this venue to see Henning Wehn. Tickets waiting for us at the box office and a long climb to the gods (we were warned). View is somewhat restricted from here. Show was very good and we would be happy to visit the venue again.

Visited last night in brough. What a great little venue. No problem getting a drink and even though sold out there was plenty of room inside. Sound also very good. Will deffo visit again if in the brough area.
