We visited here as Birthday tradition - my husband and I do escape rooms each birthday. Our host was lovely (I regrettably forgot his name), and so funny. The room was really fun and unlike other rooms we've done we spent the whole time active rather than standing around wondering where to go next. We didn't even have time to argue which was a first! I'd definitely recommend!!

Had a great time really enjoyed our time there made to feel welcome by Mark as soon as we got there. When ever there was a pause they were quick to help us out just enough that we got moving again but not enough to take the fun out of if. Would recommend this place to anyone if they get a new theme we will definitely be going back.

Really good escape room. We phoned really last minute to see if we could get in and the owner came out to open the room up for us. The room was really good, fun clues. Looking forward to the next room!

Booked a 3pm time slot as a Christmas gift for my partner and his son. Got a text half an hour before saying the organisers were running late and wouldn't even be arriving at the venue until after 3. Ultimately it was more like 3:20/3:30 to even open the place up. Once they got going they had fun, but there was a lot of hanging around before then which really took the shine off it. To add insult to injury they had to listen to moans from the host about how busy he was. Not the fun experience I was hoping for.

Thank you for your review.
I'm so very disappointed to hear your partner & his son didn't have an outstanding experience with us. Having an amazing time with us is what we strive for with every single team that comes to Teesside Escape Rooms. It's what makes us who we are.
I've spoken with your host that was with you for your session & he felt awful having to keep your team waiting. It seems it was due to some horrid traffic between Marske & Middlesbrough on that day which of course made him late to open up.
Finally, I am very relieved to read they did have fun in the Jailbreak escape room.
Apologies & Kindest regards,
Mark...

Highly recommend this place for all the family. Went with my dad and 2 teenage boys and escaped within 49 minutes with very little arguing for once! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will give you clues if you need them. A great way to spend some time with the family or friends.

Never been to an escape room before, it was fantastic, we all had such a laugh. The staff were funny, friendly, professional. The briefing room & the escape room itself were clean, warm & inviting. The whole experience was fab from start to finish. Can't wait for the second room to be opened so we can go again.

5 of us have just been for a birthday treat today. Absolutely fantastic experience! So much fun and Mark was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend to anyone, whether it is for a party, family get together or just as a challenge.
Looking forward to coming back for the new escape room!

Visited Teesside Escape Rooms with friends, having visited other escape rooms across the region. The task felt very basic, solve a clue and then all 6 participants rushed to numerous padlocks to find one which opens. The task throughout saw the entire team focusing on one clue at a time, didn’t feel particularly challenging. There’s better out there but they’re more expensive, but you do only get what you pay for. A very amateurish attempt by the creators

Was a really good evening with friends! Something different and reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone. Hope they get more rooms done so we can go back more.

First of all thank you to Mark for being such an accommodating friendly "host" with a great sense of humour.
The escape room was brilliant, well thought out and I like the fact that you dont solve to many clues at ones, this was more structured and required communication and teamwork. Excellent in every way. Thank you

I want to buy a gift voucher as a christmas present, but do I go for jail break or the fear room? What is everyone's opinion?

Hi there,
We're still building the Fear room escape which we hope to open early 2018.
My advice for right now, buy the £60 JailBreak escape gift voucher which can be used right now if needed. It can also be used as part payment against the Fear room escape when it opens.
Kindest regards,
Mark....

HI there,
The prices fr the Jailbreak Escape rooms are....
£48 for a team of 2 people.
£60 for a team of 3-6 people.
The minimum age is 12 yrs old.
Any one under 16 requires a responsible adult in the escape too (as one of the team members).
You can see more info and book on our website (google us) or join us on facebook.
I hope that helps....
Regards,
Mark.
