Do Not Waste Your Money!

My daughter & son booked this spa for myself and my wife for our wedding anniversary. Initially it seemed lovely, the staff were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately the locker room was too small so was very overcrowded and the shower was not clean or fully functional and was falling apart, the shower nob fell off in my hand when I was attempting to turn it on.

On a positive note our 4 treatments were hands down amazing & so relaxing but parts of the jacuzzi were also falling off and the water was dirty. Unfortunately after our treatments our whole experience was completely ruined when a group of 3 women came in, very drunk and obnoxious.

These women began walking around naked, swearing and being rude. The lady at reception did come and tell them to put their bikinis on as it wasn’t inappropriate and then they were asked again by another staff member several times after but they were not asked to leave or given a warning even after ignoring their instructions.

When we finished using the facilities we couldn’t find our towels (which had my glasses sitting on top of them and where in the allocated area in the treatment room) bare in mind these are our own towels. We asked the staff where our towels were only to find out the drunk women had taken and used them. The staff went and got our wet towels back which now could not be used by ourselves. The staff did then provide us with 2 clean towels for us to use instead.

After using the facilities we went to get changed in the changing room. Two of the drunk women were continually knocking the door, a member of staff asked them to give us 5 minutes to get ready but they continued to knock and swear through the door. When we did come out one of the women pushed passed us and then came back out and said she left something in the locker room, she began to get very aggressive and confrontational accusing me of stealing something out of her locker.

She was screaming at me and shouting at the staff to call the police. I told her to go ahead and explained I was more than happy for the police to be called. After about 10 minutes of her and her friends persistently verbally abusing and accusing me, she found what she lost! Myself and my wife were put through so much stress but I must say that the staff did back me up as soon as I was accused but they did not kick out the drunk women for both their behaviour directly towards us or for their overall inappropriate and rude behaviour in the spa.

Overall the staff are lovely and the treatments were amazing but the facilities are too small, dirty, outdated and need a revamp. I also feel that the group should not have been allowed to enter the facilities intoxicated and should have been at least given a warning and then asked to leave after their behaviour continued. If this had happened the whole situation of myself being accused of something I did not do would not have transpired, our towels would not have been taken and used and our anniversary would not have been ruined by this awful experience!

Part of our package was to enjoy Moroccan tea after our treatments but after all of the drama we didn’t get any tea.

This spa day was supposed to be a nice and relaxing experience but myself and my wife left feeling distressed, tense and unsettled! We will not be returning!

Very relaxing
Nov 2021 • Friends
I was a bit sceptical at first because of all the bad reviews. When we came in the treatment rooms are very pretty! The lady doing our treatment was lovely. There steam room didn’t work at first but we received a complimentary face mask. Had a lovely scrub and they even washed our hair! We also had a go in the jacuzzi!
After to top it all off we had a fresh mint tea!
An all in all lovely experience! Thank you ladies! Highly recommended

Do not come here is you have any anxiety of COVID
Sep 2021 • Couples
Over crowded. Left early as you don’t know if people are vaccinated or not and literally like a cattle market. Especially worrying all that heat and steam, over crowded and despite splashing water to clean I did not see any antibacterial sprays. No privacy at all so if you are a bit shy nor ideal Changing room is a small room crowded with lockers and no chair so you need to be able to physically be able to get dressed and undressed standing up

Staff are lovely though shame they are so busy.

Be careful of the scrubs they use. I had to tell the young girl to stop as it was painful and when I got home I was in lots of pain where it had taken the skin off

What a RIP Off! Don't Waste Your Money
Sep 2021 • Solo
On 18/09/2021 I had the worse experience ever!! They are a rip off!! I did not receive a massage despite insisting this is what I paid for as stated on my voucher!

There was no privacy due to herd experience pack as many as you can into the steam room.

I felt my privacy was violated due to a paying male was actually in the same treatment room present during the farcical of a treatment to apply body scrub.

During my personal treatment people were walking around me, 5 people standing in the corner having a general chit chat loud . It was like a Herd of cattle.

I was horrified when I complaint about lack of social distancing and hygiene to be told what did I expect the place to be closed down just for me...

What I expected was a relaxing Hammam experience for one! Which I purchased. I could of had that experience with a girlfriend or my husband if that is what I wanted.

Equally I have purchased Hammam from wowcher before at Crystal palace spa and the experience was amazing.
This experience was disgusting I left without refreshments as the refused to give me a massage telling me I purchased the morrocan package what ever that is?
wowcher advert claims spa package with five treatments and access to facilities. The owner refused to tell me exactly what I had purchased?
I want my Money refunded. The owner was not bothered when I informed her I will write a very negative review. I'm so angry and disappointed.

Wouldn’t recommend
Jul 2021 • Couples
We travelled an hour to the spa and when we got to the spa the receptionist said did you not receive my voicemail ( 5 minutes previous to the appointment ) there was no steam no jacuzzi and unable to reschedule to the preferred day we wanted this was highly frustrating as we had booked a day off work for it. Wouldn’t recommend as it is a waste of time.

Relaxing and good fun
Jul 2021
This was a birthday present from my son who came with me. We both thought it interesting and very relaxing and enjoyed the steam room, the clay mask and hair wash. I don't think we had a full body massage but we were there for over an hour and had delicious fresh mint tea afterwards.

The place was very clean.

Belated Birthday Present to myself 🎉🎉🎉
Dec 2020 • Solo
Came last year 2019 and attended last week Saturday for Belated birthday treat. Not the same service as last year. No Turkish tea was offered at the end. Definitely should knock down the hair dressers next door to increase the space and provide a better changing room. Spending £49 on a foam massage and hair massage with access to the steam room is not bad value for money. I definitely have had better hammam treatments. Nothing can beat going to Morocco for this proper treatment and service for as little as £20. I'm. Going to try the hamman in Edmonton and Dalston I heard the service is professional and all staff are polite and prompt.

What a let down
Mar 2020 • Friends
The experience was interesting to say the least. The place itself was very small. Myself and two friends went and couldn’t fit in the entrance area or changing room together. It was an uncomfortable experience for something that was meant to be relaxing!
The treatments felt rushed and there was no sign of a body massage. We bought a voucher and it said it was to include five 15 minute treatments, it was more like five 5 minute treatments! For the clay mask, two of us had barely any clay on us, and the other one of us was absolutely covered; so very little consistency there. The hair wash was quick and I’ve had better at hair salons if I’m honest. We spent a lot of time in the steam room (on the provider’s request) which we regretted later as we all suffered from dehydration headaches (despite drinking about 1 litre of water each whilst in there!)
The place smelt like damp as you walk in, and when you get into the Jacuzzi you realise why- they definitely have a mould issue! My swimming costume still smells of damp after having been through the washing machine. Other than this, the place seemed quite clean.

The only real positive about it was the fact that the staff (doing the treatments) were friendly and that our skin was glowing afterwards. I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend though!

Where to begin?

From booking through Living social/groupon, I could not contact the actual spa for a week onwards starting from 10am till 5pm. The phone would ring and ring but no one would pick up until finally on Friday at an odd time I managed to book my treatment. Difficult to locate as the spa name is not listed on the booking. First thoughts, very very small space. The lady at the front greeted us, gave us a card to fill out if any medical conditions one had. We processed to walk into an extremely small the changing room was barely one to begin with. The lockers did not work and a few broke upon trying. The bathroom was even smaller and could barely move to wash hands. After getting changed, you are greeted with 2 ladies (went on a Sunday) one wearing a headscarf and another polish lady GO TO THE LITHUANIAN LADY! The lady in the headscarf does not have as much experience so it made this even more awful. They began to wash up with warm water. Went into the steam room a few times, for the Moroccan treatment, you do not get a massage into the deal!!!! We paid extra for it NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! Scrubbed our bodies then back into the sauna room. The ‘massage’ if you want to call it that consisted of bubbles being made and put onto the body and massages on the back. I had the lady with the headscarf which was not good. At all. Rushed the treatments whilst the Lithuanian lady took her time massaging my mother. They wash your hair using Moroccan oil products but mine was rushed regardless. That’s it. You can no further use any other facilities such as the jacuzzi even though we were told we could at the reception. The ‘refreshment’ was a glass of Turkish tea whilst she stood there waiting for us to finish. Terrible time overall would not ever recommend whatsoever. Terrible service not worth it at all save yo money!!!!!
