Neighborhood: Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.

A novelty experience
Apr 2016 • Friends
A weekend spent in London with family & friends for my sisters birthday. We had heard about this experience and thought we would give it a try, tick it off the bucket list. The whole experience was... strange? A room of mist that supposedly is G&T - could be a myth? The experience was fun because of the people we were with & the bar had lovely cocktails - but certainly only a novelty experience & wouldn't suggest as a recommended activity in London!

Six family adults out for an experience

I think you would only do this as we did for the experience and a one of visit. Drinks are expensive and you can only stay in the mist lounge for a very short time. Our boys treated us to the experience prior to going to dinner and it was fun.

Give it a mist
Mar 2016
Went to the alcoholic architecture with a friend, had a cocktail at the bar which I wasn't keen on it tasted medicinal to me. In the room itself is a mist of gin, I had to say it was fun being in a misty room with my friend and it was a kind of cool experience, but was more of a novelty experience, and for me personally I prefer the Ice Bar as I feel it is a better experience as they do nicer cocktails with novelty.

Dodn't waste your time and money!

Such a rip-off! Expensive price for what it was, not even a tiny amount of alcohol there, expensive cocktails, the place is just a room.. I suggest buying G&T and perfumed soaps in Sainsbury's, and leave the water run for a while to gain some vapor. The experience will be twice good and half costly!

Waste of time and money
Mar 2016 • Family
We came across this and I was persuaded us to go in. BIG MISTAKE! The dressed-up chap pulling punters at the door of course made it sound good and I thought it would have some interesting decor at least as I did not expect that the alcoholic mist would have much effect (not that I particularly wanted it to) but I thought I would at least be able to smell or taste different cocktails. However it was just a plain small room with mist being pumped in, some loud music, and flashing lights and I could not smell or taste anything. We had plastic ponchos on to stop clothes and hair getting wet. There was also a bar where you could get some quite expensive drinks but that was nothing special either. After 40-50 minutes our time was up and that was the end. There was no "architecture" to look at and nothing gothic that I could particularly see. I felt that this was a waste of time and money (£10 plus cost of drink) and, although the concept seemed unusual, the reality was sadly very disappointing and I felt I had been misled and cheated out of £10. I really wouldn't bother if I were you.

One of a kind experience

To me this place embodies Britain. Modern, yet historic. Cultured, with a sub culture. At alcoholic architecture you find yourself breathing alcohol and drinking infused alcoholic beverages. Rather than being drunk and sleepy, you are loose and vibrant. If you like to be the first to try something, or are open to trying new things, this will be something you talk about doing for years to come!

A Sham, a con, nothing more

£10 to stand in what is literally a tiny, white walled room with bad and unenthusiastic music playing whilst supposedly flavoured water is sprayed at you. They claim 40 minutes is equivalent to 2 G&Ts. You're far more likely to leave this place with Legionnaires disease than feeling drunk. If you want a syrupy cocktail in a ridiculous horn shaped cup then it'll cost you a ludicrous £20 per drink. This utterly awful, supposedly novel attraction may well be the biggest rip off in London and certainly the City's very worst attraction. Attending the very worst rip off the city has to offer may make this place worth trying once but if you have any common sense you will avoid this place like the plague. This place is genuinely a joke. Only in London could you get away with this kind of nonsense ha. Ridiculous.

Underwhelming
Feb 2016 • Friends
Attended with a group of friends. After paying for and receiving an allocated time slot of around 40 mins, I was concerned that it wouldn't be a great amount of time. Unfortunately, the time was actually too long.

After swapping our coats for plastic ponchos, to protect our clothes, we strolled into a room of coloured mist. The room was incredibly small with nothing actually in it. The music played in the background was not suitable for dancing to by any means. A small bar provided cocktails and drinks. However, these were extortionately priced! Through ought the location there is little lighting and lots of unmarked trip hazards!

At the end of the session i didn't feel in any way that I'd had equal to "two alcoholic drinks". My clothes also felt incredibly damp.

It's definitely an alternative experience. Although, I'm not sure as to whether the desired effects are bogus or not.

Disappointing

Took clients here hoping for something unique. You book a 40min slot and that's it. Plastic ponchos and you head to a alcohol fumed room with little light and loud music. Not much effects at all and certainly a lot less than the Web site suggests.
Special "horny toad" cocktails are £20 and single cocktails are £9 and £12. All of which tasted like sugar syrup.
You may as well visit a drunks bedroom on Sunday morning and get more of an effect

We wanted to try something new while in London. The room smelled mouldy and we didnt really get anything out of the steamy room. We tried some cocktails from the bar but they were nothing special either. It was quite boring to our liking.
