The area
Neighborhood: Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.

This is not usually my cup of tea, if you will. I'm not big on the scene and the music. But I tagged along with some friends and ended up having the best night! Great music, Great ambience. It's just a great place to come drink and dance the night away!

Plastic people is upon first glance a small, simple club in a Shoreditch basement. It's three rooms are decorated like a student bar, with wooden chairs, an unadorned bar and a friendly vibe.

But step onto the dancefloor to experience the extraordianry sound system (the walls ARE the speakers) and consistently good music - you'll stumble across big names like Joe Goddard, Prins Thomas and 1-800-dinosaur.
