I visit this meat shop quite regularly - it isn't the cheapest butcher's shop but the quality of beef, lamb and chicken is extremely high. As to that really helpful and clear advice about the best way to cook your purchase, and it couldn't be much better. In fact, one of their staff dissuaded me from buying an expensive joint... More

Having been recommended by a friend I have enjoyed the Lunch Box several times. The adjacent park is an ideal spot in which to consume same. The selection of melt in your mouth meats, sauces, salads & vegetables is fantastic value at £6.50. Expect a long queue.

Great evening, something very different. Watched the butcher cut up a lamb, he gave us loads of info about the cuts & we then got to debone a lamb shoulder and roll it. Plenty of food afterwards, lamb of course & red wine. Also got to take your lamb shoulder home. Good night but not sure I'd pay the ticket... More

We attended the beef butchery class. I have to confess, at first I thought it was a bit expensive, but you get great value. We first had a masterclass in butchery (extremely interesting), and then we got hands on experience chopping up our own cote de boeuf (which is enormous and which you take home at the end of the... I had heard about this place an wanted to get some meat from here.. Got some sirloin and Lamb racks... I think this was one of the tastiest meat I have cooked... it was just delicious. Moreover they do lunch boxes as well; roast lunches; pasties...yet to try them, but looked and smelled fantastic. the search for great meat feels... More

If you walk past at lunchtime you will see a queue of (mostly) guys waiting patiently for their high protein lunch boxes. Once bitten, forever smitten! Unless you became vegetarian you cannot fail to be amazed at the quality & value for money. Beware, this will change the way you eat. The lunch box (at £6) has enough meat for... More

The place is over priced quiet small it's hard to move in there they have a meat and deli counter I paid near to £4 for a very small sausage roll and 1.60 for one yogurt the sausage roll was quiet dry and it took ages to be served as the young lady was busy talking to her friend personally... Myself and a friend went to the sausage making course at The Ginger Pig in Askew Road. It does cost quite a lot but is worth it for a great lesson , great fun and six kilos each of outstanding sausages. There were about 10 people on the course which is about the maximum for the size of the work... More

So I'm a bit of a meat fanatic back in the states where I smoke a lot of meat for friends and family. Quality meat and animals treated with respect is super important to me. That said, this was the first (and only) must see place in London once I landed today. Bought four beautiful dry aged rib eyes, two... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
