Cannot believe I lived 24 years before I tried a Ginger Pig Sausage Roll.

Absolute game changer the meat to pastry ratio in the sausage rolls is about 9:1. Outrageously good.

We often go here for lunch - the rolls are great and really filling. Each day they have different meats in their rolls - pork, lamb or chicken. Sauces on offer are usually chilly jam, apple or mint sauce depending on the meat.

Meat lover and foodies be warned, once you experience the Ginger Pig a lot of what you once knew is going to pale in comparison! These guys have got it spot on. I went with two friends for the evening beef butchery course and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Needless to say, what we did get was incredible. The... More

Bought a an evening butchery class from Ginger Pig for my husband for Christmas last year and he has just used it. He had a choice as to which meat he wanted to learn about and he chose beef. If you have been thinking about going, then let me help you decide. DO IT. If you love your food, more... More

Great little venue in a special part of London. The good quality here is top notch; had a lovely roast to takeaway for lunch. The meat presentation and colour is superb. Good friendly staff enjoying their jobs also. I'll be back!

As well as all the standard things you get from a butcher these guys do the best sausage rolls in town! The sweet chilli one is simply amazing and the pork pies are pretty rockstar!

We first came across the Ginger Pig at the Borough Market and loved their traditional English pies. What a wonderful surprise when we moved to Marylebone and found the shop so close to our new home. We have now tired almost all the pies including the cold Yorkshire Plowman's pie and pulled beef, chicken Kiev and the list goes on... More

I've bought meat from these people in the past and it was better than some but not a patch on Barcecoa or my local butchers Brace of Butchers. I could still have spent money with them but for my last experience. I was bought a butchery course token. When I first tried to use it there were no courses running... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
