Fantastic afternoon watching 'Rush' based on the Windrush scandal. Absolutely brilliant performances from everyone involved. Such an inclusive production. Outstanding dancing and singing. Very well produced. Will be supporting this theatre and their work more in the future.

My son has been a performer in Chickenshed theater for about 7 years - every year he rehearses and then performs in the Christmas show extravaganza. About half the children who perform are disabled and about half are not. He has a disability and Chickenshed is one of those few places that manages inclusion for all brilliantly.

The shows themselves are aimed at young (Christmas show) to very young (Tales from the Shed) children who like magic and drama and music and dancing.

They do a number of autism friendly performances and have options for deaf and blind people to enjoy the performances too. Some wheelchair seats and some of the performers are wheelchair users. I think all performances have sign accompaniment.

A lot of people love Chickenshed theater which goes from strength to strength.
A lot of work there is also done by volunteers.

They also offer training opportunities for young budding actors (teenagers) who want to work to get a qualification in theater.

If you want to get good seats for the Christmas show book early as they do get sold out. Expect normal theater prices for a professional production.

The Brothers Grill is a restaurant bar concession in the theater which is OK for a snack a milk shake or a meal in pleasant surroundings - but don't expect fine dining.

Awesome performance and seemless integration for the less abled performers. Its just a shame that in these days we are still so shallow that we see some people as different. We are all different its what makes us interesting. That said all best wishes for chickenshed for future performances and i hope all the plans for expansion.

Cheap and engaging morning activity for our 2 year old. You sit on the floor in front of a small stage and there are chairs available for those in there first/pregnant people etc. There was lots going on all the time on stage, with colourful costumes, singing, puppets, dancing and audience interaction. Our 2 year old doesn't normally like sitting still watching things apart from the tv for long periods of time but he absolutely loved this. Easy parking. Nice cafe. Baby changing. Will go again.

We went to the 1/2 term show with a group of friends, 4 Mums and 8 kids! It was completely engaging for my 22 month old, but my 4 year old was the same, that is rare to find!
It was so relaxed that it made it very easy for mums with kids when you are used to worrying about whether they will sit still and be quiet - because they didn't have to!
Perfect.
Added bonus was the inclusive attitude to the cast, all shapes and sizes etc and both sexes. Really positive to see.

This theatre shines like a star in a corner of cockfosters Barnet hope abounds .from this charity no one is declared unable to perform on the stage this arose from a chicken shed but it is a lovely place know place to eat easy access to auditorium nice seats not a great deal of parking I think it is well supported by the local community and long may it continue the show this year was snow white made you feel happy inside

We went already a few times with our 5 years old granddaughter to the Chickenshed.
2 weeks ago wen went again for "Tales from the Shed"
The cast was enthusiastic, professional and talented, the show was professional and inspiring, and the way always less talented or handicapped people are integrated is absolutely marvellous.
The head actor this time, Lorenzo, was, in one word, just fabulous!!!! And the girl playing guitar fantastic.
We'll be back!!!
