    BTTF Upper Circle with kids
Went to see Back To The Future with my husband and two young kids. We sat in upper circle seats D22 - D25. The gradient is so steep so we had a good view. The kids couldn't see (6&9) once poeple sat in front of them so we got them a free booster seat each and they were fine (my 6 Yr old needed 2 as she's really small). The seats feel really close together too and the leg room is tight. We didn't mind but someone who doesn't like feeling squashed in might not like this seating area. We would sit here again.

    Nice, old theatre
This is a lovely, old theatre. The staff were helpful and friendly. It’s clean. Yes, there were queues during intermission for the loo. That’s happened at every theatre I’ve been to. We had a great time. Because it’s an older theatre, you might not be able to see if a gigantic cranium sits in front of you, so be advised especially if you are bringing your kids along -Book at least one aisle seat in case. Also, if you have back or leg issues, the seats (although nicely padded) will not be comfortable for you. There is wheelchair access and designated spaces for wheelchairs. If you have concerns, call ahead before you book.

    Old, bijou theatre ...
An old Theatre with a steep Circle. We were right at the back so got the benefit of the AC, but as we were on the seats at the end of the row we were perched precariously on the downward stairs, which was uncomfortable. The show itself stuck to the film script and was enthusiastically delivered by the cast. Production was excellent and worth the ticket price.

Tightly packed theatre that provides good shows.
I went to see the Back to the Future Musical at this theatre which was a magical show with great entertainment. The theatre itself has great transport connections with train and bus. There can be queues outside and depending on the weather this can be more frustrating. There is the customary bag check to enter. The staff are welcoming and helpful in navigating the theatre. There is a bar and refreshments available. Seating on the ground or top levels provides good views. The seating can be quite uncomfortable as spacing is below minimum. Tall people should look for the more expensive ground level. The toilet facilities are fine and the theatre is clean. A packed show can make it become warm. However, watching a good show puts all the minor points aside. It is an intimate, tightly packed theatre.

    Excellent experience
We went to the Adelphi Theatre for the first time for a few years and the first time with a wheelchair. The show, The Barricade Boys, was just amazing. We had a great view from Row J and the Access Host was great, just sorry we didn't get her name. We wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

    Tremendous Show & Staff
We visited on 23/10/23 and the staff were awesome. It had started to rain before the Back to the Future show, so the staff outside brought us to the front because my partners in a wheelchair. Then we were assigned an awesome lady usher who helped us to the toilet and then our seats, through the crowds. My partners mobility is deteriorating, this usher was brilliant while we were getting seated. Maybe sounds a small thing, but while i was transferring Nadine from her chair to the theatre seat, the usher ensured the crowds stopped trying to get past us, and gave us space and time to get seated. Which we need. I'm extremely grateful, i wish i'd asked her name. She came back to help at the interval, and at the end too. She waited patiently while we were in the bathroom both times and this personal assistance was very much appreciated. Thank you. Also, what a brilliant show!! Go and see BTTF if you get the chance. An amazing experience for my first show. I'd love to come and see it again. Thank you Adelphi

    Fantastic show and lovely staff
Visited to see a show here. All staff very welcoming and friendly. Whilst we were waiting to take our seats we spoke to a lovely young lady I think her name was Indira. She is a credit to the venue. Was visiting for a specific show and was not disappointed at all. Security checks can delay you taking your seats slightly but all done before the show starts.

    Superb help from theatre staff
We went to see 'Back to the Future, the Musical' at the Adelphi Theatre. The show is great entertainment but what added to our enjoyment was the great service from theatre staff. My husband uses a wheeled walker. We initially booked seats in the circle and needed to swap them for accessible seats in the stalls. What a pity I didn't book direct with the theatre as I would have qualified for a discount as my husband's carer and I am still struggling to get my promised refund from Ticketmaster. A lesson I won't forget. When we arrived at the Adelphi, the woman on duty at the velvet rope showed us straight through to the box office and after we'd got our tickets, accompanied us to our seats and took the walker away to store it until after the show. After taking part in the enthusiastic applause, we went out onto the pavement to flag down a taxi. For some reason they were all full, yellow lights switched off. That's when another of the Adelphi's staff stepped forward. Jane crossed the road to flag down a cab. It must have taken about half-an-hour before she got one to do a U-turn and pick us up. That was really going the extra mile. Thank you Jane, and your colleagues for your kindness.

Brilliant theatre, set design and show
We visited here to see Back To The Future at the weekend and were both very impressed with the show and the theatre itself. We were seated 3 rows away from the back of the theatre so at the very top but the way the theatre is built meant that even at that height we barely missed anything on stage. I was very impressed with the BTTF decoration in the lobby area which provided a fitting environment for what we were about to see. The most impressive thing however, was definitely the set, how it moved and all the actions that had taken place…. This probably made the show for us. 10/10!

Visited last week with my Father to see Back To The Future. Incredible production well performed and the effects outstanding.

The Theatre

From the moment the show started I had two people sat behind me in stereo eating sweets and crisps purchased from LW Theatres.

Across to my right someone else enjoyed stuffing their faces repeatedly through the quiet moments also.

Sound of the rustling packets destroyed my enjoyment of the production and more so listening to Gareth Owen Sound Design.

During the interval I spoke with who I thought may be the Duty Manager. I explained what was happening and this is the response I got from LW Theatres

" Nothing we can do sir, they have to right to eat and drink throughout the show and we have to sell the food for income"

My response was to surely supply food that doesn't contain noisy wrappers crackling across the theatre.

Alleged Duty Manager (grey Suit with in ear piece) said, "the public can pretty much do as they please in an LW Theatre, if we try and intervene it could make a scene and bring a bad review"

My response was simple, I will purchase wrapped food from you now and sit there throughout act 2 and russel wrappers through out. Why? It's my right to do so and you have said there is nothing the theatre can do about it.

At this point the alledged Duty manager turned to his aide beside him and asked if they would go and speak with the surrounding area before act 2.

We decided to purchase seats in the stalls at the top price directly with LW Theatres. I then paid more on top to exchange our seats ever so slightly.

Both my Father and I work in the events and music industry, my Father being a composer and myself from a technical perspective.

Neither of us have enjoyed sitting out front as guests in over 4 years. We dressed up, looked tidy and we obey theatre etiquette.

What is the point in shelling out top tickets to sit amongst an un controlled audience if LW Theatres sell noisy wrapped food and do not have the balls to maintain etiquette in their Theatres.

Travelled from Birmingham to see Waitress 9/1/20. Seated waiting for performance to start when announced that it was cancelled due to illness. Surely there should have been an understudy. This was a Christmas present for our 14 year old granddaughter who was left devastated. All very well to offer ticket refund but she had purchased merchandise, paid rail travel etc, all non refundable. Disgusting even amateur productions have understudies.

If your a fan of the Back to the Future franchise then this show is highly recommended. Congrats to Bob Gale and his team to putting this show in the theatre.

All performers, staff and special effects team did a amazing job and it felt like you were all part of the original Back to the Future experience.
It was hard act to follow from the original characters but Great performance from the actors and actress who performed all your favourite Back to the Future characters - Lorraine, George, Marty Mcfly, Doc, Biff, Goldie Wilson and Mr Strickland (No spoilers).

When you enter the theatre take a photo of the Back To the Future Memorabilia as this was great to see and also you can buy merchandise too.
Only negative I would say is there is no room around the theatre as seating is tight and going around the aisle is bit of a struggle.

To get the ultimate satisfaction of this show I would highly recommend you get a seat as close to the stage as possible.

Disgusted with Adelphi Theatre this afternoon and the way they treated their customers. We spent 3 hours on a coach to London to see Waitress. Then a member of the cast comes out on stage says hello to everyone and then tells us with a smile on her face that the show has been cancelled. The majority of the audience including us thought it was part of the show. Why didn’t the theatre inform us an hour before the show so we could get tickets to see another show? Why did you let people purchase a pie for £7.95. Sell drinks, sell merchandise sell programs.

Oh I know. Because Adelphi Theatre clearly don’t care about their customers just cash in their tills. I understand people becoming sick and wish them all a speedy recovery but not 5 minutes after the curtain was supposed to be raised. You knew about this cancellation way before. In my opinion you mis-sold drinks, pies, merchandise you have truly ruined our day shame on you

The Adelphi Theatre is situated in the Strand, London.

We went to see ‘Back to the future’. It is a very quality designed Theatre and is very smart.

Everyone was required to show that the had been tested for Covid before entry, which was good. The reception required us to wear masks, but a large number of the audience were not doing so, once seated.

As the theatre wasn’t totally full, some people, who paid for the cheaper seats had checked the theatres app and moved down to the unsold, more expensive seats. This was rather disappointing.

We visited the Adelphi on 6/12/2022 to see Fairy Tale of New York. Why do people that pay good money for tickets insist on talking loudly throughout the show? Some patrons even asked them to be quiet but still they carried on and could be heard even above the music, which isn't exactly quiet, and some sounded well under the influence of alcohol. There is no lift for disabled customers so it entails many steps to the Royal Circle. There were strong flashing lights projecting straight into our faces and I had to use my Asthma inhaler seven times due to the smoke and the recommended daily dose is up to four, as and when required, and I was verging on an Asthma attack. We had had enough by the interval and went to catch our train back home.

I don’t often leave reviews but I just want to stress how excellent the front of house team were. We had a very intoxicated couple sat near us who were talking, on their phone and very vocal that they couldn’t understand the show (too much alcohol). In the interval, I approached one of the ushers and luckily the duty manager was around, they were so apologetic and empathetic, and so vigilant in the second half to ensure disruption was a minimum. So I want to personally thank them.

Now as for the show - I’ve seen it twice. Once with Mark Oxtoby as Doc and now with Roger Bart as Doc. Oxtoby is brilliant but I definitely recommend catching Roger Bart, a Broadway legend who was phenomenal, I don’t think I’ve seen a performer as comedically, vocally and as strong as he.
The production is also incredible. I hope producers creating future shows watch this as a masterclass in screen to stage work.

Second time seeing back to the future and I already want to see it again!! The special effects are unbelievable. The way they recreate iconic moments of the movie is brilliant. If it is your first time and budget allows I would recommend buying seats as close to front and centre as possible to be really immersed in the effects. Fantastic actors and a great show. As a big fan of the movies I love all the Easter eggs they managed to include. The theatre itself is also lovely. Plenty of legroom compared to some and nice temperature.

Terrible experience- on the 2nd of December we went for the evening performance. In the middle of the show something happened and we had to evacuate the theatre. They didn’t explained anythi , no answer to any questions just yelling “out this way” . After an hour waiting outside they called us inside again for the show to continue. We waited 3/4 of an hour to let us know that the show cannot continue due to technical reasons. They didn’t bother to tell us what happened nor how to get our money back.
The just said “contact your ticket provider to book another day” completely disappointed by unprofessional behaviour . And of course
ingresso doesn’t respond to any messages…….

Absolutely no regard given to covid - theatre is small, under whelming and no ventilation. No space between the incredibly uncomfortable old tatty seats literally touching the person next to you ( needless to say we all got covid) the bar staff are painfully slow so you are crammed in the bar area for agesssss waiting for an over priced poor selection of drinks. Organised caos from start to finish.

The show was AMAZING however, almost worth getting covid and back ache for.
