My husband and I signed-up to a zoom-based Indian cookery class last week, and it was the highlight of lockdown! Cher, the tutor, expertly guided us through how to make a delicious cardamom butter chicken and our own naan bread from scratch. Cher was very knowledgable, answering all our questions and giving us really clever kitchen tips. I hope more classes come on line as I will sign-up in a flash, and get friends and family to join in, too, as it is a fun and wonderfully sociable thing to do. Thank you Cher and GHI Cookery School!

I took my mum to a Vegetarian Asian Cookery class on Saturday for her 60th birthday and we had a wonderful afternoon. Cher was a fantastic and knowledgable chef and given we were the only two there for the afternoon we felt truly spoilt! Four fantastic recipes to take home as well as all the hints and tips (on knife skills, peeling, making a garlic puree...) Great communication with Evie beforehand too, particularly with the current COVID situation everything was handled really well. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon, I will be highly recommending to my friends and family! :)

I have been to three of these classes and loved them all. I have learned so much that has lifted my cooking skills incredibly. I've done knife skills, Thai and Middle Eastern Cooking and found that I was the only person there for two classes and one of three for the other. The classes represent superb value as I prepared three course meals that I have shared with friends and family afterwards. I've lined up friends to share what I know will be an excellent meal. A cooking lesson and a three course meal for 3/4 -- what a deal!

The teachers are consummate professionals that are ready to share their extensive knowledge with my questions that don't always pertain to the topic at hand. The information on the regional cuisine and ingredients was fascinating.

I highly recommend these lessons!

Absolutely superb three hours, worked hard but had huge amounts of fun, not to mention picked up some great cookery tips! The family were thrilled when I arrived home with a variety of dishes to go with the lamb tagine they had cooked eg flat breads, stuffed aubergine, chicken tagine and baklava!

Thoroughly enjoyed my cookery course day at the Good Housekeeping Institute which was a Christmas gift from my husband. Karen gave a warm welcome with a cup of tea when I arrived and was on hand all day in a friendly and helpful manner. The Institute is spotless, comfortable and modern. Cher Loh was the knowledgeable, friendly and very professional chef for the day. In fact he was my personal chef in the morning as I was the only person booked in for the Mexican Feast which was great! So many tips and such useful advice. There were 7 of us in the afternoon for the Indian Indulgence course and it made a nice balance for the day. All the food was boxed up in Good Housekeeping bags for us to take home with GH recipe binders. I couldn’t resist buying an Emma Bridgewater GH mug.
Thank you so much Cher and Karen for a great day and I’m certainly hoping that I may receive another GH Institute gift .....Mmn Mother’s Day is approaching 🤔

I treated a friend to this Healthy Eating cookery course for her birthday. We were welcomed by Evie who was very bubbly and chatty and after welcoming drinks we settled in for the course. The chef was Cher ably assisted by Angela. There were 6 of us and we had lots of help and individual attention. We made 4 dishes, salmon fish cakes, chicken and mushrooms with noodles. a cauliflower pizza and smoked mackerel salad. All the ingredients were prepared for us which was lovely and the dishes were delicious. We sampled them and took the remainder home to enjoy for supper.
To complete the afternoon we were served a refreshing glass of wine. Strongly recommended!

I'm a reasonably experienced baker but wanted to learn new skills and refresh old ones. I went to the Easter baking 1 day course and made simnel cake, hot cross buns and Easter biscuits. I learned about icing techniques (never a strength of mine) and left feeling quite accomplished.
We were warmly welcomed, made to feel even more welcome as the day progressed and I can't wait to book another day. I felt so encouraged by the amazing team and it was a totally therapeutic experience. Better than a day at the spa!
The whole organisation was so efficient, too. I left a message asking if I needed to bring cake boxes and had a text straight back saying 'no', everything would be provided to carry home our goodies.

I used to make bread a lot - and I mean a lot - three or four loaves a week - we never bought bread. But a couple of years ago I really lost my mojo and my husband booked me on this course as a gift and it was wonderful!

For a start, it is incredibly welcoming and relaxed - there were five or six of us at different levels of experience and wanting different things and we were all listened to and catered for. Explanations and demonstrations were clear without being 'lecture room boring'. We were helped through every stage. I learned a lot (even though I have a lot of experience) and we all went home with a mountain of different kinds of breads which delighted my family and, all of which (except the soda bread!) I have made multiple times since.

It was a very lovely experience and I thank everyone involved. xx

An excellent afternoon being taught cooking knife skills by head tutor Cher in the Good Housekeeping 'state of the art kitchen' based just off Oxford Street. No previous knowledge was taken for granted and expert advice individually given as appropriate. All staff were friendly and approachable and the food we prepared (which we took home), helped us hone our new skills and included jointing a chicken as well as preparing vegetables and fruit. Thoroughly recommend this course which would also make a good present for the budding 'cooks' in your life.
