Address
Neighborhood: City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.

I visited the Enigmaquest escape room on the 8th January with my Wife and three teenage children. We did the Wizadry escape room which was an excellent experience, really well-designed with a range of puzzles that our entire group was able to contribute to solving. We had a lot of fun.

However, the reason I want to give Enigma Quest a five star rating is because they handled multiple rebooking of this event (originally planned for January 2019!) fantastically. Due to various Covid issues I rebooked multiple times, some at relatively short notice. I didn't want to cancel because I believe in supporting small businesses during the pandemic. The Enigma Quest customer service was great, and allowed this multiple reshedulings to take place without any fuss or drama.

Thank you ... can't wait to come again.

As a family we really enjoy escape rooms. We’ve been to a few different places but Enigma Quests is the best we’ve ever experienced so far!

Lovely staff who are friendly, funny and very helpful.

3 different themed rooms that have enough to keep a team of 4/5 occupied for the whole hour without anyone feeling left out. Tasks are challenging but not unachievable. We’ve now completed all 3 rooms and have enjoyed them all.

For escape room lovers, I could not recommend this place enough!

Close to Liverpool Street station also makes it easily accessible and ticket prices are very competitive compared to other companies.

Thank you Enigma Quests! Hurry up and make new rooms so we can visit again!

I did the School of Witchcraft & Wizardry inexperience with a friend. They say it requires a minimum of 3, but they were accomodating of just two adults!
It was my first time in an Escape room ever, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I admired the small details of all the props in the room, interactions with the puzzles and how things were revealed.
The puzzles and clues were not super difficult, and our Questmaster, Hannah, was super helpful and not intrusive to the experience at all. I would highly recommend if you're a fan of Harry Potter or would like to try escape rooms for the first time! I got a lovely picture and certificate at the end to remember it by.

I did the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Escape Room in London yesterday with my boyfriend. He had done an escape room before but this was my first one, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was also a bit nervous as 3-5 players is the recommended amount and there were just 2 of us taking part (according to their website 2 can have a go subject to the minimum 3 player charge). Although it was quite challenging, it was SO much fun and I absolutely loved it. The two of us managed to solve all of the puzzles and escape on time. Our host, Simone, was fantastic and the escape room itself was really great and definitely made me feel like I was lost in Hogwarts

This has got to be the best escape room I’ve ever done. We did the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Room and it was just brilliant! John was such a lovely host and really looked after us, he was so enthusiastic, it really added to the experience. It was also very COVID secure and we felt safe, even when an unexpected fire alarm went off! Without giving too much away, the aim was not so much to escape, but to complete a series of quests. There were special effects and wonderful decorations and the quests all fitted together well and tested different abilities. It was also a perfect level of difficulty, it was challenging without being too hard. As a Harry Potter fan I was absolutely blown away and so excited, it was clear that whoever put this room together knew Harry Potter very well and I appreciated the references that were dotted throughout! However, you do not need to know the Harry Potter films or books to complete this room as all the information you need is provided for you inside. I actually cannot get across in words how great an experience this was - if you are a fan of the magical world, or just want something a bit quirky to do, you HAVE to do this! We got certificates at the end too which was a really nice touch! I wish I could obliviate my mind so I could complete this all over again! Thank you for a wonderful experience 🧙🏼‍♀️⚡️

As a group of 4 from 13 to 40+, we are all familiar with Harry Potter, but no prior knowledge is required to solve the puzzles. If you are a HP fan, you will appreciate the attention to detail involved in the room design and equipment.

I’ve never done an escape room before, but this one has me hooked. It only lasts an hour, but you run through a lifetime of emotions, amazement, frustration, bewilderment, pride and elation. Help is available but only if you ask or need it.

You have to work as a team to find the clues and solve the puzzles, some puzzles need solving before you can move on. These no guesswork or random luck, just persistency and a little enlightenment or skill. This is such a well thought out activity, excellent for team building or family bonding. Although you have to complete the activity within an hour, you’ll be talking about it for weeks or until you go back for another challenge.

Thank you so much enigma, the whole process from booking to arrival and email of free photo on completion was seemless. We’re not in London as a group often, but if ever we are, we’ll be back to try your other rooms.

We did The Million Pound Heist on 22nd July and we really enjoyed it. It was different. It wasn't about getting out quickly, it was about getting out with as much money as possible do you generally ended up spending the full 60 mins in the room.

The puzzles were non linear which is how we like them, so we were able to go off into pairs or individually to solve different aspects of the puzzle.

Would highly recommend it.

We'll be going back to complete any other rooms they have as well!

Took my daughters to do our very first escape room the team at enigma were amazing and we had such a great time... we completed "The million pound heist" walked away with £415,738. We fully plan to go back and complete all the escape rooms they have. Things to bare in mind:
1. Sat Nav or google gps can send you to the wrong place so leave enough time to get there and get your briefing.
2. This isn't a place that takes your money and waits for you to turn up, they are really good at sending out reminder emails and updates to travel so check your emails. (Really helps).
We went today (29/08/2020) so Covid-19 is still at play but the team at Enigma took this seriously and we never at any point felt unsafe or concerned. My daughters are 12 and 10 so really great fun for that age group I would highly recommend.

What a brilliant experience! In town with a 10 and 14 year old, not keen to sit in a pub with mum or see a show ( can you blame them?) and decided upon this.
A most brilliant team building and bonding opportunity with the family . A chance to see that those hours of gaming have given them the skills to work out and solve a puzzle. We all really enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and encouraging. To walk in and meet the people who had just finished and had clearly thoroughly loved their experience, was a joy.

Great value for money for an hours entertainment and that’s not counting the hours we’ve discussed the puzzles since.
Well done Team Enigma Quest... brilliant !

I went to Enigma Quests for my birthday and me and my friends had an amazing and fun-filled afternoon! We did the Million Pound Heist game - the set was amazing and the game was well planned out and not made too easy, which is what I wanted! Everyone came out of the game with a smile on their face and afterwards, we had a memento photo of us for free which was a lovely gift from them. Avin our host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend anyone looking to do an escape room in London to go to Enigma Quests.
