- Mihaela S2 contributionsDisappointing unfortunatelyReally disappointed with our visit, no crowd control and far too many visitors allowed in(they don’t really care if your child really gets to enjoy it 🙁), enormous queues with minimum waiting time of 40 minutes and some experiences over 2 hrs wait 😱. You could see the staff shortage and how unenthusiastic they were. British airlines experience was a let down as the staff member doing the cabin crew experience could not be bothered to call the parents in to see their children, of 8 kids in only one family went in(as they went from the beginning due to special needs)…. Management really needs to review the number of visitors they are taking at one given time and not focus on their financial gain alone….Dear Mihaela, Thank you for leaving us a review regarding your recent visit to Kidzania London. I am sorry to hear that your experience did not match your expectations. The nature of our experience means that any activity may have a waiting time as the children wait for the role to be available-essentially they are waiting for the activity to end before their turn. The architecture of our site does not allow for a fast tracking queue. This is why we supply visitors who may need them with Awareness Bands- these are a visual indication that the adult wearing them will be able to enter activities and queues with the child if needs be. Our staff are trained to fully engage with our visitors and make their experience great. I am sorry to hear that this was not the case. We would like to investigate this matter further for you and to improve the standard of our service. Please email enquiries@kidzania.co.uk with your name, date of visit, booking reference and further information so that we can assess your situation better. - marina mChesterfield, United Kingdom24 contributionsPoorly customer serviceThe concept is brilliant. Kids loved it, however from adults point of view it is poorly managed. Customer service is below average. I guess young people who work there don't really bother too much about kids. Some stations managed better then others. Single parent is not an option . Can not get them food/ take them to the toilet and leave a child in a queue. They expect kids stay there still and if move you loose your spot, which we previously been queueing for 30 mins. Disgrace. Been offered to stay another 15 mins for next session. One till in a food place, more servicing staff on one till only. Could add another one or two. 20 mins for slashy. Would I came back? Probably not. Too much stress and bad service.Hello! Thank you for writing a review. The staff have no joy and put in zero effort to be creative, efficient checking groups in and out, or towards acting in any of the scenes. - L Met1 contributionDisgusting!!!!This has become the filthiest place in London. Apart from all that has already been listed on here by others, on 30thDecember in between 13:00 -14:00 they were selling £7 hotdogs with mouldy bread!!!!🤮🤮🤮 I woudnt ever go back there even if it was for free! Paid hundreds of pounds for my son’s birthday to leave there so disappointed!!!! Shame on you kidszania for torturing the kids AND the parents this way. And most of all shame on you Westfield for allowing this to happen under your roof. This Shiite hole will put people off to come to Westfield ever again.Hello! Thank you for writing a review. - lisabalsiger1 contributionExhausting experience spent mostly queuingSpent about 80% of the time queuing. A few of the activities that my daughter had been looking forward to most (acting academy and Theatre) were simply closed 🤷♀️ The hotel was: messing up a bed and then making it. Took about 30seconds. The day prior to our visit I desperately tried to contact customer service.... it was a Sunday but Kidzania WAS open... the answering machine kept repeating that their phones lines would open at 10am but never did throughout the day and my emails were not answered. Some of the staff was very nice but you could tell that many of them were exhausted. This is the third Kidzania we have visited (Bangkok and Mumbai) and the least pleasant one. I think they should't allow that many people to come in at once. 80% standing in lines (also for the food) is just not fun for anyone. Many parents shared the same frustration as me as it is certainly not cheap!Hello! Thank you for writing a review. - lama704London, United Kingdom64 contributionsLong queuesA good place to keep a child busy but some activities require up to an hour of a waiting time. It would be helpful if kidzania develops some form of a booking system for popular activities. The lady at the check in was quite rude and it would be helpful if she at least bothered explaining to newbies how the system with "charge" and "salary" works instead of "go".Hello! - Kristina3 contributionsDisappointing experience for the kids and adultsRather disappointed, to sum it up by sitting in queues, not enough staff and adults hogging places in the queue when there is a limit of how many kids can join an activity. Disappointing for kids that waited 30min to realise they needed to wait another 20mins at least as more family members of the adults holding up place in the queue turn up. Kidzania you need to do better to control queues, clearly there is a capacity issue. May be overbooking too many people.Hello! Thank you for writing a review. - MargedawsLondon, United Kingdom103 contributionsAvoid this place at all costs, it’s a complete rip off and Trading Standards have received a number of complaints.Worst experience of our lives for a kids day out! Avoid this place at all costs. We were refused access for a disabled child with a young carer and told we would not be able to use a carers ticket and had to pay a further cost of £39.50! The queues were absolutely horrific and Kidzania were clearly breaching Health & Safety by allowing too many people in at the same time. Once inside with tickets and wristbands, queues for activities were up to an hour long each and some had to be paid for in addition to the £39.50 entry cost each! After 3 hours we only managed to get on to two very small activities and there were no costumes to put on. This place is a total rip off!! When challenged with complaints by paying customers Kidzania refuse to accept any responsibility and will not issue any refunds regardless. Lots of complaints have been made about this place including to Trading Standards. We wasted over £100 and our kids left very upset and disappointed at the way in which they were treated. Shame on Kidzania for ripping off families and discriminating against children with disabilities. We will never go here again.Dear Marge, We appreciate you taking the time to write a review about your visit to KidZania London. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your time in our city. I took my 6 and 4 year old in feb half term and it was absolute chaos! We were there for 3.5 hours and we managed to do only 2 activities, 1 of which was face painting that i had to pay an additional £4 for!!
My kids really wanted to do the cabin crew so we waited over half hour in a queue, i actually went into the activity with them as my little one was quite nervous with lots of bigger kids around - the activity itself was a complete rush with kids not really being told what to do properly, before they then put on a little performance for the adults.
It’s a money making machine with time being spent in each activity taking professional photos of each kid (for you to then buy when you go home!). Lanyards to hold the money which light up cost me (£15 for 2) so i would suggest bringing something from home your kids can use.
The money that the kids have left by the end can be used to purchase a gift from the shop (the shope is split into 2 - some nice cool stuff (which you have to pay for) - some crappy tiny things (kids can spend their money on).
Overall very disappointed and wont be returning. If you and your children hate crowds and queuing then this not the place for you (at least in the school holidays).

my kids are from plymouth visiting London to see their cousins and we decided to go to Kidzania as we have one in Saudi were we used to live. They absolutely loved it. We came from the morning and it did seem that some staff were too tired already with dull faces on them, which is surprising considering the city had only just opened. We then were told the stadium paid highest in the city so my kids wanted to check it out. When we arrived we were greeted with a beautiful smile by a beautiful girl called Basmah. She brought my kids in and let me watch, she even managed to run the session in arabic for my kids cousins who don't speak english well. it was fantastic and they loved it. to their luck later on this same girl was in h&m fashion and again she greeted them with a lovely smile and they loved the activity. As we were leaving they caught her in h&m recycling where she did the activity with them whilst letting them go head to head in a heated race. they loved it. a big big thank you to her!
one thing I will say is food options are very narrow in the city as their is only one shop open. the queues at time are a bit long and it does seem like staff don't always want to run the activities. the city was quite packed when we came making it hard to move around.
overall though, it was an amazing experience for my kids and we managed to get 7 activities done!
will definitely be returning.

I went to Kidzania today and being an annual pass holder I had a great time and I was given extra Kidzos. The workers were really polite and at the end I was able to get a fantastic travel size ludo set and robo fish. These were quiet expensive but I managed to get them because I had been saving up my Kidzos.
Salaries of the jobs varied from 5 to 13 Kidzos but some activities required you to pay because they were fun not work.Luckily I was able to do quiet a lot because I went when it wasn’t at it’s busiest.
Overall I would recommend this for children 5 to 13 and also I believe that you should visit when there aren’t many people inside. You should book your tickets in advance or buy an annual pass to get more value for your money.

Far too many people let in, queues for anything worth doing were far too long. Example: The television studio, 7 people go in at a time, half an hour experience, we got there and first group went in, we were 8th in line, so an hour wait to go in (parents now waiting for an hour and a half for their child to come out). Leaving your child is not an option as other children push in the queue, over the age of eight children can be dropped of and left with no supervision Example above eats into a 4 hour visit and we experienced this with 3 rooms. So many unpleasant incidents to type in this review from miserable/rude staff, health and safety. We spoke during our queuing to many parents who equally felt the same. We wanted to record this experience, we waited for half an hour for a form to arrive, someone was coming to speak to us....then told the manager was to busy?

My children were looking forward to going to this in half term. Came away upset. In 4 hours only got to do 4 experiences as queues so long. Rude inexperienced staff. Mine queued an hour to do the tv experience was first in the queue and wanted to be weather people some boy appeared from no where who hadn’t queued pushed in and the girl running it chose him to do it and mine just had to sit and watch as too many people had been let in after an hours queues not happy. Went to the newspaper reporting station so they had something to take home only to find the printer had stopped working. They said 10 mins it would be repaired an hour of waiting still not working. They promised to email me the reports but never did. My children then wanted a photo of their day so took their wrist bands where photos had been loaded to choose one only to find they hadn’t been loaded. I asked to see the manager who gave me an email add to tell them about my experience to which their reply was we can have an extra hour next time we go. We will never go back through that disappointing experience again. When I asked where the news reports were they never replied. Poor customer service too. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Would be worth the cost if they limited the numbers so you could actually do anything. But in fact we ended up paying almost £90 for 4 of us to stand in queues for 4 hours. Totally rammed, completely understaffed and absolute chaos. Such a shame as we’ve been to the one in Delhi and loved it. But this is just exhausting and a complete waste of money. Would avoid unless they are going to start limiting the numbers for sessions so kids can actually access the activities they want.

We went to kidzania today for the first time with my 8 year old daughter. After reading the reviews I was a bit worried as they weren’t great but we had a great day! It was definitely something different and she really enjoyed it. I agree that some of the staff were miserable and uninterested but some were also very good. We spent our full 4 hour time slot there and her favourite activities were the radio DJ and Pilots experience. We didn’t eat there as were having too much fun. The only thing I would say is that the adult tickets are over priced for you just to stand outside the activities waiting for your children. Also as the children do jobs they earn money and then get to spend it at the end. We early 132 kidzos and all we were able to buy was a silly little rubber?? Which was a little disappointing I think this needs to be looked at! Even if the kids could buy sweets they would probably prefer that to the rubbish toys on offer.
It is what you make it though and we had fun the surroundings and set up is amazing and feels almost like your on a film set.

No where near as good as expected. Long queues to get into activities with teenager staff who don’t care. No where to sit or eat and all the toilets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days.
Far too many people packed into small spaces making the activities chaotic and rushed. The reason you get 4 hours is because you end up queuing for each activity for at least 20-30 minutes so don’t end up doing that many.
Not enough staff around overseeing things - I saw at least 3 children telling other parents they had lost their mummy/daddy.
Half the activities were closed and the available food, when the machines are working, is overpriced and Luke warm.
They say a guardian has to be with younger children but there’s no one policing this at all.
It’s ok - but definitely not worth the money they charge. I was super disappointed.

On the positive side the staff were good and for the MOST part well trained, and the experiences, when you could get to them, were interesting and fun. However, they allowed far too many people in, the queues were horrendous with long waits for every experience and food. We got to the front of the queue for one area and a poorly trained member of staff mistakenly refused to let my 5 year old participate because he didn’t understand the system, leaving her in tears. They charge for adults whose only pleasure is trying to placate bored and frustrated youngsters waiting in long lines! We left early as there was no point spending hours queuing, resulting in some very disappointed children. I complained at the time and was assured I would be contacted, but I never heard from them.

Had my son’s Gold Birthday Party there on 22nd February 2020 @ 11:30 am, they promised me fast track for all the kids, its was a big NO for me, we had 24 children with us. When Kidzania knew how many kids are inside, they could said that to us.
The cake was not enough, the food was served a bit late, children were very hungry, the fruit plates were only 2, the assistants would ask, “ Do you need any food”, what would young children say about it, they said nothing.
The staff were rude to the kids and one of the very patience kids said that the staff are not helping and they are rude. We were told the kids will be looked after but we hardly had any help.
Atleast at the cake time, a video should record the crier and the cake cutting, don’t have any of those memories.
I had to pay for take home party gifts and the assistant said I have to pay £30 per bag, they don’t even know how much they are.

I was due to go to Kidzania this week with my son and his friend who’s in the same school bubble as him. Due to the COVID tier 2 London rules I was told when calling to check, that we wouldn’t be able to visit.
I asked for a refund rather than a voucher and was told that wasn’t possible. However, I believe that under the unfair contract terms CMA37 of the Competitions and Market Authority, I am entitled to a refund for the following stated reasons:
The CMA’s view remains that a consumer will generally be entitled to a refund when they have paid money in advance for services or goods that cannot be provided because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Since making this point to kidzania customers services, I have heard nothing from them despite multiple calls where I left messages and emails.
Very disappointed in the customer service - we are all experiencing tough times at the moment and I would expect more from them. Please can you help me get a response to my refund request?
Can me and my husband swap half way through as the adult that stays with our children?

One adult must be with them otherwise they don't understand what they have to do.Kidzmania is like going in a small city where only children do different kind of jobs. It is very entertaining for both adult and children. Anyway the other two adults can easily go shopping.

Hi they can go to any activity once inside kidzania, but they must wait in a queue with the other children for their turn. Each room attraction has limited places per session. Only children are allowed to wait in queue no holding spaces by adultss.
Hope this helps
We had a great time!
If you visit in a Sunday parents can join in on some activities too
We are from Denmark and my 7 year old daughter doesn't speak English.
Would you recommend Kidzania?

Dear Rune,
It is recommended that children can speak English when visiting KidZania London, as this will allow them to get the full experience.
However most of the activities are interactive, so your 7 year old daughter should still be able to engage in them. Our staff will try to accommodate you as much as they can.
If you (or another adult) are able to translate for the child, I would recommend getting a yellow wristband at the time of 'check in' which will enable you to accompany her throughout the visit.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Ash

Hi
I’m bringing my step children tomorrow - do I need to leave them with any money for food and drink?

actually, there are water fountains dotted around if i remember correctly. or send them with a small bag and a few bits in it to keep them going. they will probably not want to stop and eat anyway. another tip if you leave them with money is to get them to do the gourmet burger kitchen job where they make their own burgers. you have to pay about £1-2 each but get to keep and eat the burger afterwards

We are going to London next December and my sons surely are willing to visit Kidzania, an experience that they already tried in Lisbon. The problem I'm realizing is that they can not understand english very well, so I fear the will not be able to fully enjoy their visit, other than having their parents always nearby as "official interpreters,", a very boring circumstance for them. What can you tell me about that?
