Isn't it's weird to write a review about the Cemetery and crematorium? It is, but I hope this review will help someone. (In decision making or just a simple visit to walk around and clear your head) My late boyfriend is resting here, and I've...More

This lovely, little cafe, based in the City of London Cemetery, has been going for many years, but has only relatively recently changed its name to The Poppy Pantry. They have themed the decor and crockery with poppies, and the World Wars, including a wall...More

Great place for a cuppa after a visit. Good to see they cover wakes as it's a good location. This cemetery is always clean and tidy, well looked after.

This is the most amazing cemetery. Always kept immaculate. Work done here is by far the best. Pleasure to have my loved one here

Easily accessed by 101 bus from Wanstead or East Ham underground stations. Beautiful gardens and monumental statuary. Very good café at entrance (open daily until 3.30pm). One suggestion I’d make is for a map identifying graves of the famous (such as Bobby Moore).

An excellent visit on Saturday, led by Gary and Spencer, two very knowledgeable, sensitive and interesting guides. Thank you - I learnt so much in such lovely surroundings.

Such a inexpensive and beautiful cafe with serene surroundings and the cemetery itself is worth a walk around. The grounds are impeccable.

I travelled up from Wales to take a service here and the place is massive with a lot of history and apparently with a million internment's! The facilities were easy to use and the staff were very helpful. At the end of the service we...More

Sounds very morbid but had a wonderful guided tour on Open London day. Lasted 3 hours and found out so much about the cemetery and history. Visited the catacombs and the workings of the crematorium which were fascinating and took some of the mystique out...More

It does seem a bit odd reviewing a cemetery, but the City of London Cemetery is quite grand. Once you go through the arched entrance, the vastness of this space hits you; the centuries old tombs and gravestones are beautiful to look at, and I...More
