We had an amazing.night here with spectacular night views, we got a window table after asking nicely and the food was good but our server was excellent. Very pricey for what you get but the views were worth the extra money. Would happily have dinner next visit!

went to the Darwin brasserie for a birthday meal, the view over London at night is something to see, and the meal we had was very nice, the waiter very friendly. But...its very manic and noisy, could not hear my wife speak :),seriously, it was loud,I would say for the experience go. Would I go again.naaa

Booked a late night table 22:45 in the bar. What a great experience fantastic night time view great drinks and good service set to a DJ playing mostly 80s music. Really enjoyable night expect to pick up quite a bar bill though

The free tickets are easy to obtain, remembering that you choose your date time and number of people on the Monday 3 weeks before you wish to go. We all enjoyed wonderful views, plenty of time to also have a drink take lots of photos etc. The restaurant didnt appeal at all and pleased we didnt choose that option.

Definitely worth a visit as the views are amazing, and worth the queue to get in. Cafe was poor with so-so cakes and overpriced coffee. In fact the coffee is the reason for the review, it was weak and undrinkable. I assume the champagne is better.

Pre booked tickets as we had fallen foul of the walk in option previously. Efficient check in service although the search regime was woeful and needs to be better. Want overly busy (Tuesday lunchtime) and offered amazing views over the city thanks to the lovely weather. Food and drink available at reasonable prices but we opted for their outside cafe where the same food is offered a good few pounds cheaper (obviously without the views). All in all a great way to spend an hour or two for free if you’re visiting the city

The view was amazing, absolutely stunning. We ate in the Darwin restaurant as well which was amazing. The sky garden has 2 bars inside, it also has a viewing deck. The location is amazing, views of the shard, river Thames and St Paul’s Cathedral. You can get free tickets and they do accept walk ins however the queue is very long and you may get turned away. The sky garden is definitely an experience you don’t want to miss!

Visited recently with my 7 year old son and he thought it was amazing and was his favourite thing that we did in London. Do not rely upon the walk in option however, in reality this doesn't seem to be much of an option and we saw people turned away. Book well in advance as soon as tickets are released to make sure you secure a spot. I panicked as it said about needing photographic ID which I forgot to take with me but I was never asked for it. We didn't eat or drink so can't comment on that but the views were fantastic, especially for free. Yes there's a bit of a queue to get the lift down but we expected that and it moved quickly. It can get hot up there on a warm day.

So rare these days that anything is free. Booked in advance online. New tickets released every Monday and was able to book about 3 weeks beforehand. Needed to arrive about 20 mins before time slot due to queue. Lovely views just as good as the shard which is a fortune to go up. Lots of seating and don’t have to buy anything but we enjoyed a cup of tea and a cake for £6.50. Well worth a visit.

Great views of the city of London. I wouldn't say it's a must-see location, but given that it's free to get in (but you do need reservations often, but I don't think I paid for those) and on a clear day you can see the whole city, it's a solid stop. I definitely wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here. There are lots of viewing areas for seeing the city these days, go to one that's near whatever else you're seeing.
