- bobsherunkle26London, United Kingdom47 contributionsGreat fun and very well-organisedI did this with my wife and daughter (birthday treat for her); none of us had been to an escape room before. The whole experience was very enjoyable. We were met by our host “Miss Terry”, who gave us a briefing then led us to the room. She stayed outside the room most of the time, giving us hints when she felt we needed them, and also noting down some of our more memorable comments (which have since appeared on their Facebook page, along with the obligatory silly picture). We didn’t complete the challenge, but that didn’t spoil the fun. Lots of mutual moaning when “Miss Terry” pointed out the ideas we had mentioned but then didn’t follow up. An intriguing chance for a family to work together, though my wife and I already knew our daughter was the most methodical of the three of us. The room is fairly small, so a group of four would be more comfortable than six. Easy to get to, only a few minutes’ walk from Morden Road tram stop. If you prefer to drive, no guaranteed parking, as it’s on an industrial estate, but if you ask nicely in advance (as I did) they may be able to find you a space on the day.Visited February 2020Written February 18, 2020
- AJM1 contributionTrue characterWhat an amazing time. 6 of us went to take on this challenge. 2 couples in their thirties and one in their sixties. The host was incredible and remained in character whilst clearly having bundles of enthusiasm about the challenge he has developed. The Escape Room itself was difficult but we managed it with a minute to go. It was so well linked and a really cool concept. Thank you!Visited September 2019Written January 7, 2020
- Stephen McGlynn1 contributionMystery Cube was a Hit with the Adults and Teens #GetBookingWas our daughter's 13th Birthday bash with her teenage pals. We had a really good time in the Cube although we didn't succeed in escaping #Boo nearly, but we exploded so this message is from beyond the Cube. The Professor had the perfect balance between comedy and instruction so adults/teenagers alike got in on it. I would recommend this to everyone as we worked together and had lots of fun over pizza after chatting about how we nearly made it ......... over and out!Visited December 2019Written January 20, 2020

I was really excited about Professor QB and his Escape Room or "research lab". Nowhere else have I seen an Escape Room that has been built and thought through with so much attention to detail. It was a lot of fun. At this point I would like to thank him again for waiting for us, although we were a full 30 minutes late on a Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, I already know all the solutions now, otherwise I would go straight back tomorrow.

We had a phenomenal introduction by professor QB which was extremely funny and at the same time very personal. After finally getting into the cube we were pretty excited to solve the different puzzles and happy to get some advice from Prof. QB to solve the real hard ones. In the end is was nice to get a great overview of our highlights, especially what he picked up about our communication, which was quite chaotic at times but still effective. All in all I would highly recommend to anyone stepping by. Thanks again and keep going :D

6 Cubenauts for an 11th birthday party and what a party it was. The delightful (and impressively precise) Professor QB outlined our mission to crack the mystery of the Cube and report back. An hour was allotted and the adventure began.
Sadly, post-Cube amnesia means I am unable to tell you any details of all the ingenious, imaginative and devilishly entertaining puzzles and codes that you will encounter inside the Mystery Cube, but I can tell you that you won't find anything like it.
We had such a great time. No hesitation at all to highly recommend it.

This is a great escape room experience, very differnt from any that we've done before but possibly one of the best. The host was excellent, very enthusiatic and helpful. There isn't any official parking, but there is plenty of pay and display along the road so we didn't find that a problem. If you already love escape rooms this one really is worth a go!

From the moment we were greeted by Professor QB we were laughing, great briefing and felt totally welcome! The puzzles in the cube really did suit a variety of skill sets and you could tell it had been really thought out well. The analysis, team report and debrief were much appreciated and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Thank you so much for having us! Cannot recommend this place enough :-)

Great amount and variety of puzzles. We loved the introduction and support from professor QB. The room and puzzles were built and developed with great care. Thus leading to a great experience and atmosphere solving all puzzles. Loved the chocolate surprise as energy for the team.

We had sooo much fun here. Definitely one of the best we have done so far. Great puzzles, super variety in puzzles, lovely story around it and great opportunity to team up or work individually. Works well with 3 people too. And loved the welcome at the start and the 'debrief' at the end.

Thank you so much Professor! We had a great time- a fantastic experience, and much more personal than any other escape room we’ve done before. Would highly recommend to anyone. The time flew by, and not only did have a great time in the mystery cube, the briefing and debriefing were great too.

For both of us it was our first escape room and we totally loved it. Great fun from start to finish, and challenging enough we were so close but alas, we didn't make it! Brilliantly hosted and only a quick walk (which might have been nice without the rain!) from the tram, which itself is just a few minutes from Wimbledon. Would thoroughly recommend.

At the time of this review, I have done most of the exit games in London. Including Cluequest, Escape Land, Escape Rooms and Escape Hunt (Hint hunt is booked!). My friends and I saw that Mystery Cube was opening and jumped at the chance to try it out for half-price. Our expectations weren't that high. Located outside of central London (Wimbledon) in an office building we really thought it would be a bit unpolished.
The area was deserted on the weekend when we arrived. The building old and filled with offices. Although this part of the cube experience indeed appeared unpolished (its not like they could change the building anyway), once you begin the game, it is ANYTHING but unpolished. I want to write more about just how AMAZING this game was but that would ruin the mystery. This exit game is obviously run by dedicated gamers who understand what makes an awesome challenge (difficult enough, yet no weird leaps in logic, randomness or guesswork). I can faithfully say that it is hands down the best exit game in London at the moment. I foresee them being booked up quickly since they only have the 1 room. This is one game not to miss.
My friends and I have all been dreaming about the game the last few days. It is the first time that an exit room has stuck with us for so long. The theme, story and puzzles just meshed so well it was truly like being inside a puzzle video game.
We wish so much that we could wipe our memories and play this one over and over again.

Professor QB here.
There is only one Mystery Cube and therefore only one Mission can take place at a time. Larger groups split and arrive separately at their booking start time. Group size is maximum 5. There must be one adult per group and our recommended lower age limit is 11. We can make exceptions but please get in touch with us direct to discuss. Our email address is missioncontrol@mysterycube.london
Prices are as indicated in our website and vary according to group size.
Best wishes

How long does it last?

Dear Vic,
There is a briefing and debriefing as well so all together you can count as a one and a half hour experience.
However your Mission is exactly o1 hour.

I was wondering if it works well for 2 people. Not many of these types of experiences are catered for 2 people. what do you think?
Thanks!

Dear Londonadam0687,
Thank you for your question and sorry for the late reply (tripadvisor did not show I have a message only my email did...).
The Mystery Cube had several Group of 2. However it is much harder to complete your Mission than for a Group of 4 or 5, couples and other group of 2-s are enjoying it a lot!
You can check it out on our facebook page and the reviews here as well to get an idea about your Mission!
We are allow a Mission for a group of 2 as we believe it is fun for them as well and as previously proved not impossibble at all!
Kind regards,
MissTerry
