Address
Neighborhood: Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.

This was the 2017/18 exhibition,we went to the last Elvis exhibition at the O2 and also the one in Vegas which were both very good. This one was very poor.
About half the size of the last one at the O2 with videos we've seen before ,lots of stage suits and clothes that didn't make up for the rest of the exhibition.
Came out with a feeling of being ripped off, if it wasn't for the nice meal we had after at the O2,I wished we hadn't gone.

Well I have read lots of negative reviews about this exhibition but I already had the tickets so went along with an open mind I am lucky enough to have been to Graceland but was in no way expecting a similar experience I have to say both myself and my husband took just over 2 hours to go round the exhibition properly listening to all commentary and we thoroughly enjoyed it I cannot understand where the negatives are coming from lots of suits on view and memorabilia very good. I thought 20.00 each was fair price for what I seen.

As a big Elvis fan was very disappointed in the exhibition, badly laid out, confusing and not well explained. The headset narration went on forever. Obviously the Elvis company have got used to overcharging all us dedicated fans.
Having been to Graceland, which was amazing, felt really disappointed.

I went to the previous Elvis exhibition at the O2 and it was amazing. After reading the details about this one and the new artefacts going on display i was very excited. However. This is about a third of the size of the previous one. It's all show costumes (not the stunning ones either) which are all very similar to each other and a few uninteresting documents. After paying £26.50 (Inc booking fee) , £22 travel and an hours travelling each way I was utterly disappointed and disgusted at the lack of items. If I hadn't stood and watched 2 of the interviews on the screens I would have been out in half an hour. As it was, the interviews stretched it out to an hour. Don't waste your money on this. It's a complete swizz.

It was quite a long walk down to the exhibition. After 2 sets of escalators, queued for a short while, awaiting the audio sets.Once we had these we headed into the shop area, totally confusing as everything was Prince orientated, had to ask and was shown,Elvis was up the other end.Picked up new audio sets as the ones we were given were for Prince.Unfortunately the exhibition was disappointing. My thoughts firstly were that we had been spoilt as we were fortunate to go to Graceland in the summer. The most moving for me was his suitcase of costumes that were never used and the audio clips.Apart from that and some costumes there wasn't a huge amount else and we stretched it out to spend 45 minutes there.I was so disappointed for the other couple we went with as we had been raving on about them cars etc.I did realise before we went it wouldn't be the same as we'd experienced just a taster but I was disappointed for our friends.

Well planned out plenty to photo, read and listen to. There was a couple of places to sit and listen to part of his tours. There was quite a few of his stage costumes and when they were worn.
We were in there for about an hour and a half.

Cashing in at the fans expense

A couple of years ago I booked to take my wife (who is a big Elvis fan) to the first Elvis exhibition at the 02 arena. The exhibition was so good, that we went a further two times before it finished and according to the marketing blurb, over 200,000 fans went to see the event. I believe the family were amazed at how successful the event had been. With this in mind, I didn't think twice to book for this exhibition, especially as this is the 40th year since his death.

This exhibition itself was a great disappointment. It was mainly made up of jumpsuits worn by Elvis and a few clips from the well known concerts, you could watch at home. The documents on display were copies and after the 3rd or 4th cabinet showing the clothes, I stopped listening to the audio which accompanied you during your visit. The size of the exhibition was only half the size of the previous one, as the other half of the space was hosting the Prince exhibition.

After leaving the exhibition I asked my wife if she wanted to return a second time - her answer was a resounding 'No'. Considering that (from memory), the cost of the tickets for this exhibition were the same (if not more) than the first exhibition shown a couple of years ago - I believe the Presley family thought they could use this exhibition to sell the upcoming Elvis concert - they shouldn't have bothered - the concert will sell itself.

the main reason we visited London at this time was so my son who has special needs could go to the Exhibition . He loved the experience and seeing items that had belonged to Elvis . Would say any one who is an Elvis fan would've loved this experience
