If you were a heavy rock/metal fan, this was the place to go. I used to go there when I was younger with a friend of mine. This place built up a very big Heavy Rock/Metal community and it's a shame that it's no longer there.
The landlord and bar staff were very friendly and I do miss those guys. I was a regular both at the original venue at 97–99 Wardour Street and then when it got relocated near Centre Point, Tottenham Court Road. Sadly I never got a chance to go to the Fox when it was at the Archway Tavern.
The photos which I uploaded are of me and some friends at the original venue. One very interesting fact about the original venue, it was one of the oldest pubs in London. It was 222 years old before it closed in 2006.
(Please excuse me when I said that I went in August 2022, because The Intrepid Fox at all the venues had already closed for good by then)

If you' love the rock/metal genre, live music as well as great DJs, great staff and diverse people then this is the place to go. I've been going to this pub for seven years soon. It has been frequented by names like Bruce Dickenson and Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Mickey D (Motorhead), Ozzy's guitarist Gus G, Mikey from Devildriver and Breed 77, who are more or less a permanent feature of the Fox. Undoubtedly, the soul of the Fox are the guests and the people who go there, with the colourful personalities who know how to have a great time. In this place Rock n' Roll will definitely NEVER die. The prices for the drinks are more than reasonable and easy to commute to and from the city centre. There is usually no entrance fee, but if they have an event night, a humble sum of a fiver may be requested.

One of the best places in London for good drinks and better music. Ideal after a rock gig, (you can even find the musicians there afterwards). Good prices, nice service and great music. The place has a nice decoration and the atmosphere is always good.
Definetly the best place to hear good rock in UK! !

Really great place for people interested in rock music, beer and fun. You don't see your average yuppies here. Beer is cold, music is good, what else would you need?

I have been going here since it was on Wardour Street and it was awesome then too!!! If you love metal then you NEED to go here it really is that good. Great music, brilliant atmosphere and just a great night out. All you need for the best night out in London is here and the Crobar full stop.

Beside the fact that many of my friends work there it is just a must if you are in London. Drinks and metal music, amazing artworks inside. Tip the barteners and raise beers up loud!
