About
We have 2 boats for hire for parties and one for sightseeing cruises on the Regent's Canal. Our larger boat, Freda seats up to 42 and Lapwing and Joan seat up to 12. Meet at Granary Square, King's Cross for a trip through a lock to either Camden or enter the 200 year old, underground Islington Tunnel which is only accessible by boat and leafy Islington. Bring alcohol, food and music. In the event of rain or cold weather the boat has transparent covers.

I hired the Freda for my husband's birthday in September 2021 and it was an amazing experience! Everyone had so much fun that our friends keep talking about it every time we see each other! Barbara and her team were great to work with throughout the planning process and were so helpful the night of. Our group was sized at 20 people and there was tons of room for everyone to move up and down the boat. We picked up pizzas from a nearby restaurant and brought all of our own alcohol which made it a fun and more affordable option for a party cruise (as some boats require you to use their catering and bar). Getting to play our own music was a blast. The location is great for going out afterwards. Our only regret is that we didn't book it for even longer! All in all, it's a wonderful and unique way to see London and we would totally do it again!

Despite a very rainy day when we went - we had the most fabulous time on the boat. We were 10 of us - it was spacious, well covered and the staff were wonderful and very accommodating. I would certainly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a private boat trip in a great location. I booked with Hidden Depths from Granary Square for a team away day and it was a perfect activity. The crew were fantastic and knowledgable and gave us a choice of direction, towards Camden or through the Islington tunnel to City Lock, and we chose the latter.
The route is so pretty and the tunnel is really cool. It was really good going through the lock as well.
The boat was perfect for our group of 12. We were allowed to take our own food and drink on board and they had speakers and phone connectors on board so we could make and play our own playlists.
Although we were lucky and chose a dry and sunny(ish) day it was still a but nippy so the crew put the covers on the boat and it made it really cosy. It was decorated so beautifully with bunting along the sides, and artificial flowers threaded across the ceiling.
This really was the perfect activity for our team and something entirely different. It suited everyone and was a great way of connecting as a group in a fun and relaxed environment. I really can't recommend it enough. Thank you everyone!

Hired a boat called Frida for a friends Hens party, had to postpone it a number of times due to Covd. Hidden Depths was very accommodating and helpful throughout the process. 18 months later we managed to host the hens party and it was a huge success! The boat is a good size and the staff on board were great. Everyone loved the whole experience, the 2 hours flew by and before we knew it we were back on dry land! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to host an event.

Very lovely team, and very easy booking process. Also very affordable for a stress free engagement party. We booked the large boat for 42 people and there was more than enough space to dance, eat and drink and not feel squashed. Highly recommend it!

We hired Freda for my wife's 40th birthday and had an excellent trip. It was a lot of fun and a totally different perspective on London. Barbara and the staff on the day were great to deal with and flexible to accommodate our requests. The boat is well set up for this type of trip and if the weather had been worse we would still have had a good time. We were a group of around 30 and were able to bring our own drinks and food. Overall, highly recommend this as an option for your own party!

I did the 1-hour trip from Coal Drops Yard to City Road Lock last year when I was on my solo trip. What a great way to travel. I would love to do a holiday on the canals one day.
The trip was well organised and professionally run with informative commentary. I'm so glad I found this. Thank you.

We took our first trip with Hidden Depths Canal Cruises during the day in the summer, and had such a brilliant time that we came back for one of the Halloween evening-themed cruises.
Both trips were fantastic. The crew are helpful, fun, kind and polite, and both groups of friends who attended the trips said it was a really unique and great way to spend their day.
We'll absolutely be coming back for a third trip in 2022 - and couldn't recommend this enough as a nice activity with friends!
Thank you so much again for having us on both occasions, and we look forward to seeing you next year :)

We hired a boat for my daughters 21st last night. 2 hours from KX to Camden and back. Bring your own booze and playlist (speakers provided). Staff were great and everyone really enjoyed it (young and young at heart). If you have never done it I would thoroughly recommend it to all age groups. Thanks everyone.

Had a great time- 4 generations of a family. Very good staff who offered great care and service. Boat very spacious for 16 of us. We had good communication and guidance right from the booking to the end of the trip with all the tips and support to make this a memorable trip. Overall a very enjoyable trip- highly recommended.

Personally I think it would be fine for young children as there is little opportunity for them to escape :) 5 - 10 mins walk from station...

To answer: we only hire the entire boat, one seats 12 the other 42 people, we don't do individual tickets. The boats are hired by the hour for as many hours as you like and we can operate every day. Thank you.

We are based around Kings Cross, Camden and Islington and provide a 12 seater boat for parties / sightseeing on the Regents Canal, £99 per hour (£8.25 p/p per hour). For individual tickets we have one hour return trips for Fathers Day £10 / £8. Please email or ring for details. Thank you
