Bowlers Painters tour was a highlight of my visit to London this summer - a beautiful, well-chosen walking route, access to the artists' former homes (more than museums) plus fascinating information about Hogarth, Morris and their worlds delivered with wit, charm and lightness of touch by our expert guide, Anita. History came to life - and our pub lunch in a local inn was the perfect finishing touch.

We did the Painters tour of Chiswick and really enjoyed it. Anita was extremely knowledgeable. It felt like a very special and unique London experience with some real local insight. We never would have found those fascinating little corners of Chiswick without her. Thanks, we'll be back!

I have taken a number of walking tours in London with a few different companies, which I have always enjoyed but I especially enjoyed bowlers radical roots walk. Our guide Anita was really knowledgeable, articulate and entertaining. I learnt so much and was particularly impressed as Anita was able to answer the numerous questions posed by our group whether they were political, cultural or musical, without missing a beat. I would highly recommend this as a really pleasant, fun and informative afternoon. You will never be able to see this area as just a place for a good market to visit again. good value for money too, as we took 2-3 hours and certainly didn't feel time pressured when wanting to ask questions, stop for the loo, buy a drink or snack and to soak up the atmosphere whilst en route.
