The area
Address
Neighborhood: Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

Enjoyable stop on way to the Tate museum
Aug 2017 • Couples
We decided to stop on our way to Tate museum and was the best decision we could of made. It appears very much a locals pub but we were made very welcome and if in the area again would revisit. We had an enjoyable lunch and drink along with a well earned rest - we chose the Cajun chicken burger which was a whole chicken breast with lettuce tomato bacon cheese and onion rings in a bun along with chips and although not very cajuny we have to say it was the best burger we had had in a while.

If you are passing by call in you wont be disappointed.

Lovely Pub - lovely food - great Local's pub!
May 2017 • Couples
Pimlico is an area that I tend to walk through to get to Vauxhall station, when I am working in London. it was nice not to be working in London, and it was a great treat to discover this fine pub. My wife and I went there twice in the 6 days we were staying in Pimlico and both times we had a great meal, which was not over the top price-wise like so many other establishments in London.

You could sit outside at the front and to the side if you wished but that is where the smokers usually hang out.

the staff were very friendly and efficient. We were able to book a table for the Saturday evening. the pub is frequented mainly by the locals in the area so it was a pleasant change to have a pleasant meal without a million other tourists pushing and shoving.

We will be back!!

Afternoon pint
Apr 2017 • Couples
We had some time to kill before an art exhibition at the Tate. This was nearby and got good reviews. I was however a bit disappointed as it was a bit expensive for 2 pints.

Nice 'local' pub
Jul 2016 • Couples
Stopped here whilst passing by in the area. Nice typical British local pub serving a good range of ales and other drinks. Didn't eat here but would if back in the area in the evening. Appeared to be mainly locals using it which is a good sign.

Local
Jun 2016 • Couples
Was stopping locally in a hotel and wanted somewhere normal to eat. Very traditional pub, live music not too loud, friendly staff and locals. Not a large choice of good but was freshly cooked and decent quality. Prices were very good. Pool table and TV if you need that as well. Would highly recommend.

Great pub
Apr 2016
This a great and privately owned pub. Does not belong to a chain. Very cosy athmosphere. Fireplace, pool table and sofas available. Occassional life music. Very friendly service. Just a great place. Much to the living of many locals...

Great for Sunday Roast
Jan 2016 • Family
We regularly visit the Grovenor for Sunday Lunch. The food is good, reasonably priced and the service is friendly and efficient. The roast pork is superb and the children's sized portions are a good size. Advisable to phone for a reservation.

Paul, the publican makes you feel welcome and always makes a point of talking to us.

Free WiFi, but you have to ask for the code at the bar.

Good sized car park at the rear of the pub as there is no parking on the road outside.
