Anyone looking to have fun in a social atmosphere and keep for at the same time should try the reach. Great place. I don’t live in the area anymore but pop back in for work, if I have the time I always try and get down there for a climb.

After some experience with bouldering, we had our first rope climbing class at The Reach. The place is great, offering rope climbing, auto-belay and bouldering. Our instructor Graham was excellent and we had a really nice time with him. He made us love the course and made us even more excited about climbing. I would definitely recommend the "Basic Skills Course" for who is new to bouldering or rope climbing.

Since moving to the area a couple of years ago we’ve been climbing regularly at The Reach. We’d a lot of experience of bouldering walls around London but The Reach is special among them. It has a really friendly, accessible atmosphere for one - thanks in no small part to the team that work here, as well as the broad spectrum of regular climbers of absolutely all ages. Music is good, safety is well cared for, the cafe is perfect. The Reach has a little bouldering and we’ve been satisfied doing that and using the auto belay but have just completed the skills course so we can get climbing in the rest of the centre and it’s opened up so many routes. Exciting 😄

Thank you to Paul who did a smashing top roping skills course for us this week and threw in a lot of really helpful tips to advance our climbing too. It’s fantastic to be able to learn from such a clear communicator and incredibly skilled climber. Funny and very kind too.

It’s a shame some people have written bad reviews since the wall is such an asset to the area. I’ll just say that climbing is inherently dangerous and that there may well be no compromise when it comes to behaving safely at the wall.

My 14yr old son took 5 mates for his birthday. The instructor they had was amazing and they had an amazing time. I also managed a cup of coffee in their great cafe whilst watching. Thank you team Reach.

I love the Reach.

The friendly staff, the helpful instructors, the array of routes and the ease with which people associate - it feels nothing like London!

The routes are well set and seem to be consistent. The layout is constantly changing but it feels homely and friendly - it’s a nice play to spend a whole day if you wanted!

I climb in a lot of places but the Reach is easily my favourite!

I had enjoyed climbing here once or twice before, however upon visiting with my family was confronted by an extremely rude member of staff. From the offset she was extremely confrontational & made the experience extremely unenjoyable.

I had heard from multiple sources of encounters with a terribly aggressive lady who works there and I'm hoping she's the exception, not the rule, although none of the other staff members in earshot seemed to care about her approach to customers.

Two friends of mine (both ladies are extremely accomplished climbers) said they were told off in a very aggressive manner by a lady who worked there for practicing falling on lead, This is despite calmly telling her that their club offers a British Mountaineering Council discount and the BMC listing in their guidelines for best practice on lead training suggesting to practice falling on lead in a controlled environment - she was having none of it.

It's a great facility let down by poor staff training and manners. Such a shame as the lady upset my daughter so much with her aggressive manner that she's been put off climbing. She's 7 years old and had been climbing with me twice weekly for 6 months indoor and outdoor, and hasn't climbed for two weeks since.

It's unlikely I'll be returning which is a shame as the facilities are good.

I attended the 2 day Basic Skills course with my daughter. It is the staff that an make or break an event for me and the staff over th two days were helpful, attentive and expected the customer. My basic skills were lacking but the trainers were patient and bt the end of the session I felt that I had accomplished something.
Thanks to the staff for making what could have been a painful experience a more enjoyable one

A little piece of heaven on Earth - The Reach Climbing Wall, provides an escape from my mundane routine of life...it’s a place that breathes life back into me and feeds my soul, a perfect alternative, when rock is no where to be found!

The Staff are a team with a wealthy of information to share, always willing to provide guidance and are so welcoming that you cannot help, but start your climbing session with a smile...and with around 50 plus lead climbs, that are re-set often, there is always a new project to sink your teeth into!

I've been climbing here on and off for 2 maybe 3 years. I like the staff, I like the route setting, I like the Rosie Lee Cafe and I consider it one of my favourite places to climb in London. Especially for lead and auto belay. Much quieter than The Castle.

Great centre. Son is on a NICAS climbing course. Instructors are brilliant. Good selection of bouldering and climbing routes.
