I visited on a nice, semi warm Saturday around 1030 with family. I drove, and found free parking about a 15 sec walk from the bakery. A few people were seated outside, and it was really busy. We managed to squeeze in and shared a...More

E5 Bakehouse is a local delight. The bread is quite simply some of the best to be found in London. The Hackney Wild is a particular favourite and is delicious with cheese and peanut butter. Try one of their cakes with a coffee, you will not...More

This is a Bakery and a Flour Mill as well! E5 really knows their flours and their bread leavening. Sometimes the dough could be slightly more cooked. But overall you can buy your eyes closed. Nice lunch but overcrowded with baby strollers so don't choose...More

I madea special trip to visit E5 Bakehouse after having seen Paul Hollywood visit it on his television show. I was not at all disappointed. The sourdough bread was gloriously bitey and the latte coffee outstanding - served in a short glass just like in...More

I went to a sourdough baking course here today. Absolutely brilliant. The course organiser Will was a great and patient teacher who took pains to explain process and consequence. If you want to learn how to make -and taste- really good bread, this day out...More

Loved this! Probably the best money and time I have spent as I am a far better and more regular baker now. Treat yourself or get someone to treat you! Warning - your waistline may well expand!

I attended the one-day bread course at The Bakehouse. It was a great experience. I wanted to dispel the mysteries of sourdough and the course did all that. Ten of us all baked Bagels, Ciabatta, Rye and Wheat sourdough bread and everyone was as delighted...More
