About
The London Gin Experience is an all-encompassing tour of the stalwarts of London's gin industry. As well as a tour of two of Britain's leading distillers, prepare yourself for a master class in the finest of gin drinks. Where better to start a gin tour than with the godfather of London gin: The Beefeater Distillery in Kennington. Throughout the 20th Century Beefeater was the only distillery that continued producing gin in London, this remained so until 2009. Learn about the history of gin in London and the relationship of Beefeater with the City and the rest of the world, discover the pioneering production methods, and delight in the botanicals gathered from across the globe to create this world-famous gin. Finish the tour with the perfectly served G&T. In 2009, a new brew of distillers were born, spearheaded by the trail-blazing Sipsmith Distillery. Take a trip over the water to visit Sipsmith in Chiswick and say hello to the leading lady of the Sipsmith copper pot stills, Prudence. Discover all things Sipsmith and learn about their game-changing steps in distilling laws, beginning a gin renaissance which has now gone global. After another ice-cold G&T, the team are treated to a sublime gin cocktail master class. As well as discovering the history of classic gin cocktails, we'll teach you how to master the art of cocktail production in your own home; quaffing a few concoctions along the way is, of course, mandatory. No food is provided. Capacity of the group is 15. The London Gin Experience is a Saturday day time event. It begins at 11:45 in Kennington and finishes at around 16:00 in Chiswick. The tour costs £60 and includes 2 distillery tours with guides, 1 gin cocktail masterclass with a top mixologist, 2 G&T's plus cocktails, a chauffeur drive between venues and your very own gin guardian for the day.

My wife and I were bought the Gin Journey tickets in a voucher form for christmas last year. Do to our work schedules we struggled to make the weekday evening tour work.

Leon was nice enough to let us pay the extra to go on the Saturday tour. We didn't realise at the time that this included the Beefeater gin tour which we had done before. However we needed a trip to the shop at the distillary to top up the gin cabinet.

There is a lot more to it though than that. Kate was our host and was knowledgable and quite fun and friendly. We went to the east london gin distilary where the group made cocktails which was a good laugh. The second part of the trip was good fun and worth doing even though we had already done the beefeater tour before.

We discovered places and places within other places that you would never find without a tour. It started at 2 pm and finished at 7 pm and it felt like 30 minutes. Very different, very good and so much fun.

Went with a couple of friends and could not have enjoyed the day more. Our brilliant tour guide Max was a gin (and bitter aperitivo) distiller and knew everything there was to know about each brand, its intricacies, its story and the history of gin. The places we visited were very hip (but not in an off-putting way) and the gins were just brilliant. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. If you like gin, do this.

Who knew Gin could be so interesting!! Our host Kate was filled to the top with loads of really interesting gin facts and stories. We met in a small tucked away venue and learned the basics about tasting the gins followed by a fab cocktail. Then we were whisked off to the next venue in a lovely gin carriage for more gin, facts and cocktails! What's not to like?!! We went to 5 venues with Kate looking after us and filling us with gin knowledge. A really top night out well worth the 5 stars. All lovely venues too. This trip would also be good for corporate events too.

What a fabulous time we had, celebrating our chums Robs birthday! This Gin experience makes the perfect gift! A fabulous afternoon spent on the distillery tour and making various cocktails, lead by the amazing Kate who was more effervescent than the tonic water!

We had a fabulous birthday day out, no small thanks to our superbly enthusiastic host, Kate. We had more gin than you'll ever need and the day was paced well. For the price, a third venue, like a gin palace, would have given that layer of variety and topped the day off. But I'm not complaining and cocktail class left us with delicious recipes.
