The area
Address
Neighborhood: Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.

Attended a discover photography course today run by Vehbi Koca. His work and teaching is brilliant. I learnt so much about how to use my camera to its potential and make amazing photographs.

I was given this course for my birthday. The instructor was very good and knowledgeable. I wished he could have spent more time guiding us around interesting buildings in the area. I could have done with a shorter lunch break and more class time. I would do another course with the same instructor.

Interactive course with our DSLR cameras, purchased through WOWcher for a discounted rate. Teacher was friendly and informative, before taking us out on a tour of the City to convert the theory into practice. Upon return we shared our 3 best pictures with the class. Overall, a good class.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the history and buildings as well as being a professional photographer - so I got some good advice on how to use my camera properly. A very enjoyable afternoon! Recommended if you have a couple of hours to spare in London.

We had a great afternoon learning about the City of London and lots of tips on taking photographs of the iconic buildings. Even though it turned out to be one of the coldest days of the year we loved it and would recommend to anyone.
Real mix of ages and abilities on tour. Leader was excellent in his approach and attitude.

I have had an SLR camera for many years. To be honest for the last few years I have been very lazy with the camera and mostly used it on the auto setting. This course reminded me how to use the camera properly. I have been on other courses where the course tutor has made everything seem so complicated. The course tutor explained everything in such a way that it left me wondering why I hadn't bothered before as it was much easier than expected. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, even though it snowed and was freezing.

This was a brilliant present. Borrowed a digital SLR and got guidance how to use it practice in the photographically rich Hoxton area and constructive feedback too. Will be doing more with Westland!
