A group of us were sauntering from New Cross to Peckham looking for a pub and chanced upon this excellent little place.
A good selection of beers and ciders, including some unusual styles I'd never come across before (a lemon beer was a certainly a new experience).
It's a pleasant 'micro-pub' style room and plenty of seating outside.
I suspect that this would be considered a bit of a 'hipster' institution by some but the atmosphere was friendly and the staff were very helpful. The prices weren't too bad either. Particular thanks to the bloke behind the bar who kept having to shoot off to the barrels to get the stout flowing properly!

Easy to find just off Queens road next to overground station.
Good seating area outside for the British summer days.
You can choose your own glass and drink!
Also offer tasting tray with three types of drinks of your choice!

Not quite but fringing Micropub feel to it. Youngish clientele. Pleasant welcoming set up. Selection of varying mostly local cask ales together with a range of craft ales in cans in the fridge as well as those in bottles and draught. All booze reasonably priced - given the 'craft beer' territory. Friendly staff who let you try the beers before ordering. You can see many of the barrels through an internal window. I have been told that they have some live music from time to time but I have yet to see/hear it.

Enjoyed a couple pints here last week. Draft selection was good, with some very interesting bottles on display (but wasn't clear if these were all available from the fridge or not). The bar was somewhat ruined by the crowd of drinkers outside on the pavement smoking profusely, and the smoke drifting into the bar. The burgers looked good, but I didn't try them. I would go back :-)

Top floor smelt like a hangover fart. Pints of real ale around £6. downstairs is a living room and dining area. Very strange like my nans house or somewhere youd hold a séance, several old fashioned seats and some great books to ignore your friends reading.

Been a few times as my husband and I love the classic burger and their selection of beer and soft drinks. We've also tried the beerkins or deep-fried gherkins in batter. Some people love it but we were undecided. Seating is limited upstairs. There's more seating in the basement but we don't think it particularly well ventilated which is why I've rated Beer Rebellion Average. Service is friendly and they're informative on their beers so it's well worth a visit.

Popped in to try this place.
Very friendly with great vibe.
Liked the selection of beers available and enjoyed the nice pale ale I tried.
I though the prices were very reasonable.
I will be returning again.

I went to this place a year or so ago and loved it - great burgers, fantastic selection of beer, lovely atmosphere and cosy (if a little cramped) tables. I was looking forward to going again but unfortunately they seem to have redone the inside, and in the process completely ruined the atmosphere. The food and the beer are still good, but they have got rid of the cosy seating area and replaced it with a damp, cold, mostly empty basement which makes me feel like I'm back in my old student house - and not in a good way. Really disappointed!

Best beer selection in South London. They used to serve amazing burgers too, but alas they closed the kitchen. As a beer pub, you can’t fault it. Staff are very friendly.

We moved on to this place via two trains from Crystal Palace to Gipsy Hill when out for an afternoon with our two London based sons, attracted by the very positive reviews on TA - they proved to be very accurate! They had a great selection of keg and cask ales on tap, which made for a great afternoon’s tasting.
