I attended the Zoom focaccia course. Very poor. The teacher was speaking at 100 miles an hour audio was terrible, he didn’t take any time to clearly explain how many grams of a certain ingredients was needed, didn’t answer any posted questions or ppl raising hand. Other ppl had my same issue. Avoid. Rather go on YouTube and look at a video where the teacher speaks and explains clearly. Even if it was £10 I would not want to repeat the experience.

I attended the babka and challah making course last week- along with 150 other people! There were far too many people to do this course properly. The person assisting couldn't keep up with the numerous questions coming through on chat so most went unanswered. There was an error in the recipe that was sent out ahead which was a big problem as the doughs had to be pre-made the day before. The sound kept muting which was extremely annoying and we had to continually let them know (via chat- "MUTE!" "she's muted" "we can't hear anything!") and ask for the instructor to repeat herself or repeat steps. A complicated plait pattern for the challah was nearly impossible to follow as they couldn't get a proper camera angle on it. (I looked on YouTube instead.) One came away with the feeling that they are just trying to rake in as much £££ as possible with these online courses without care to execute them properly.

Don't purchase courses during a pandemic, they will refuse refunds. Had to wait three months for a response.

I did 2 of their online courses which were great as we were sent a video of the course so you could go over bits you weren’t sure about, so I signed up for more. Suddenly they pulled sending the video out (no warning) which really makes the tutorial worthless. I have emailed and phoned to try and cancel my place on future courses and just get fobbed off with no resolution. Don’t bother, they aren’t worth the money. Pity.

I did one of the e-courses (Italian class). The course felt rushed and at times it was difficult to keep up. I appreciate that with 60 people dialling into the class you can't just stop and wait for everyone to get to the same stage as the teacher, but I would have appreciated having more time at various points throughout the class to catch up. The class was advertised as running for 2.5 hours but wrapped up just before the 2 hour mark - so maybe they needed to finish up quickly. They were running a 2 for 1 promotion a little while ago and we purchased this - whilst I think the e-learning idea is a great one especially with the times we now live in - I was very glad I had not paid the full price of £25 for this course
