The 99 Club

The area

Address
Neighborhood: Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Went to the 99 upstairs at Brown's St Martins lane. Room holds about 150 seated. Ticket at £14.50. 3 acts and the compère. About 2 hours so each act gets a good session. All reasonably funny one act was very good. Wine only at the upstairs bar but full bar service downstairs, but you have to use a plastic 'glass' upstairs. Pre session jazz music a bit frantic trying to be heard over the general hum. Would go again

Had a great night here booked an offer £6 each for dinner and ticket. Unfortunately they gave us the wrong times for food We were therefore given 36 minutes to order then eat a stodgy plate of pie and mash each. The barmaid was what topped of the night a few of us from different groups complained that it was cold and could she turn the heating on rather than the air con to which we each got the response that she was hot... customer service at its best!!! Comedy was great though

Went to the 99 Comedy club at The Queens Head Piccadilly.
There were 4 of us and we had the pub dinner package.
Great evening
The pub food was very good but dinner/1course only. We went for the pies which were superb and filling.
The Comedians (3) and the mc were all very very good
Go do not think twice 😅

First ever experience of a ' comedy Club' night out .

Initially apprehensive and wondered what to expect . Off the cuff decision to try it out .

Arrived at the venue ( hotel ) , thought if it's not my bag for £12.50 could exit at the interval .

Well ... Venue fantastic all the facilities you need for a night out !

The compeer was brilliant followed by amazingly funny acts , throughly enjoyed the evening ... Why have I never done this before ?

Please try this experience , if you have had a week and want something to light your spirits this is it !!!!!

The 99 Club arranged a private comedy night for my husband's 50th birthday. It was excellent. The comedians were brilliant and the organisation first class. They arranged a great venue and in the night made sure it all ran smoothly. Thank you. It was a great job.

This was the first time we had visited The Queens Head ,but it wont be the last.We both thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The comedians are literally close up and it makes it personal and extremely live and realistic. The variety was mint, the comics very funny and it was all pulled together by an outstanding MC Tom Webb.He remembered the audience names ,he chatted to us and made us part of his routine which i thought was brilliant. It really made our weekend in London and i cannot speak highly enough of the entertainment and talent on show at The 99Club 10/10 to all concerned..

I booked the deal on line for Sunday Dinner & comedy. We arrived at the Queens Head to be told they had nothing to do with the club so we would have to wait until someone arrived to help us. Although I had my booking reference, the club were not expecting us for dinner. We eventually sat down to eat but the meal was cold & not very appetising. We had to leave this room until it was set up for the comedy. The Compare was brilliant, very funny & well worth watching. The next two comedians, a geordie & Alistair Green lacked material. The Geordie boy resorted to using colourful language which lost half of his audience. The people who were not from the North East probably couldn't understand what he was saying. The last comedian, Tom Allen unfortunately, was just getting warmed up when his stint came to an end which was unfortunate as he was promising to be very funny. A new experience for us. Not the best venue & not very organised but it hasn't put us off trying another comedy night in the future.
