We’re from up north and we googled somewhere to watch the football and this place came up with great reviews. When we entered, we were very impressed. The decor makes you feel like you’re stepping off the streets of London into Canada. Really authentic. However, when we were sat watching the football, the staff looked miserable and just learnt over us to grab empty glasses rather than just politely ask us to pass them to them or move out the way. I work in hospitality so I understand how customers can be but the way we were treated was unacceptable. My head was physically pushed forward by a member of staff. Was not impressed at all. Also, my boyfriend went to grab a stool from a table to sit at the bar. The bartender came over and rather than politely tell him that he can’t do that, he aggressively stomped over and shouted at my boyfriend. The place looks great and the food was lovely. Too bad the staff’s attitude ruined the place. It’s a shame because Canadian’s are famous for their friendliness and hospitality.

We popped in here for lunch after a visit to the nearby London Transport Museum. The service, food and drinks were great, and the decor and atmosphere of the place was nice. Toilets were clean, too. Only negative point was that the drinks (beer and cider) were pretty pricey - though the food was very reasonably priced. Will definitely return when we're in the area again.

I had never tried this pub before, but late at night it was one of the few options remaining so my friends and I decided to give it a shot, despite us preferring quieter places.
We went for what seemed to be a typical canadian dish. My choice was the “Lazy Hunter” poutine and some onion rings, which I ordered because since the poutine was only seven pounds I thought it would have been a small portion. To my surprise, it was quite a huge portion and it was so delicious that we couldn’t believe how cheap it was!
Huge shoutout to our waiter Jewan (I probably got his name wrong but I don’t know how to spell it), he was so kind and efficient, he even apologised for the pub being out of the draft beer we wanted to try. Instead, we went for canadian draft beer with a honey hint, which was very nice.
I would definitely recommend the Maple Leaf!

Stopped for a drink last Friday afternoon. Was served by quite a miserable guy. Was charged £16 for a pint of larger and vodka, lime and lemonade. Wouldn’t of minded if it had been a nicer place to drink and friendly staff. Will definitely not be returning!

Great bar, well presented and plenty of TV’s to catch all kinds of sports. That’s where the good reviews ends. The guys running the bar on Saturday we’re arrogant, not customer focused what so ever and extremely hypocritical.

When booking the venue, we told the staff member that we were there for the 6 nations final. They continued to book us in, and to our delight, the email had a start, but no end time.

When the first game ended, we were told our table was booked up, to our confusion. What do you mean out table is booked? We then explained the situation and our experience with booking, including showing the email. The male members (bearded bloke and another short guy) were arrogant, dismissive and galavanting with their arms swung wide from their bodies. The old invisible carpets under the arms!

I explained that if we knew it was a two hour slot, I would have booked a separate slot. To which he replied, he’d have sent us out anyway as he’s know our faces (paying customers). To my disbelief, the two separate tables in front of us, were allowed to book another table, and combine the tables as a single booking. Effectively taking two separate households and booking them together. 100% against covid guidelines. Let’s not be hypocrites and have some respect for paying customers. The bearded bloke then aggressively postured. A severe case of ego and self righteousness. It was quite embarrassing to witness.

A shame though, as the bar had all the potential. Unfortunately the more senior staff let the bar down! I won’t be returning and won’t be recommending.

We came here as a group (2 families) and was seated in a larger area. Various sports on tv!s Forres around. Drinks and food were ordered - 4 pint pitcher of house beer was £15, Starters and mains come out the same time but not a problem. Food was tasty, plentiful and quick! Will definitely make a future visit.

Slightly alarming seeing the other lower ratings on here. We had a very good experience last Saturday. We booked ahead - fair given the location - were seated on a great high corner table, ordered food and a few drinks. All came very promptly and staff were very good.

Very strange that it’s a Greene King given the theme but would definitely return, probably for sport as screens are visible from any seat.

Only note is having the GK app working for orders would be a bonus.

Great place!
Popes in for couple of drinks and famous putine! It was definitely worth a wait. Been very busy while we been there, had to wait a bit longer for food, but it was worth it! Great selection of beers for n tap, different than other pubs around.
Will recommend this place for sure!

Firstly the good part, the table service staff are very nice , friendly and efficient. However there seems to be some management there who are frankly devoid of any customer service skills, talk to customers like they are a real inconvenience to him and should probably consider whether his current occupation is really right for him. As a Greene King shareholder I'm very disappointed that they haven't sorted this out.
