Booked online. Received an e ticket and told to arrive 15 mins before ticket time. On arrival we were told our e ticket wasn’t a ticket at all and would need to get into the ticket queue. This was painfully slow and so we ended up late. You also have to pay £1 for a locker which is no optional as you are not allowed to take any items with you.
Once inside we were greeted by a staff member who stood right by the door making it impossible to maintain social distancing and then wanted to take a photo which we politely declined. We were told we should go to the viewing platform and then once we have some down in the slide we can collect our bags and go back up to take photos. It seemed that every 2 seconds we ran into another staff member who wanted to see our tickets. When we arrived at the level of the slide there was a rather over assertive staff member who again wanted to take a photo. We declined but she insisted that we still had to stand in the photo area so we should just have the photo taken to kill some time. No thanks! We were then fitted with our head and arm protection. Definitely overkill.
The website said the slide lasts 40 seconds. It felt a lot shorter and I just found it a bit disappointing. That along with the ling wait and annoying staff made the experience unpleasant and so we grabbed our bags and got out of there.
Save your money. There are better views for much less in London and the slide really just felt like a long slide. And sorry but the structure is really quite ugly!

We visited over the Christmas break - it's quite far from where we live in London and I definitely wouldn't have bothered if I'd known what the ride was like. It was tame, dark, and over in a matter of seconds. The customer service was poor, it's badly signposted where to go and expensive for what it is. There are so many better attractions to visit in London!

Great adrenaline rush experience. A must try for anyone seeking a thrill.
Takes a to get to the top during the special covid protocol, the go pro video is a waste of money as the masks are mandatory, but the slide ride is worth the hustle

We just did the abseil - it was brilliant. As part of a charity group we expected a few hiccups and delays which did occur but in no way did it take the gloss off an absolutely amazing experience.
Getting kitted out for the abseil took about 15 mins, then the lift took us to the viewing floor from which the views even on a drizzly day were impressive. Then outside to the platform. No lift needed to get down. It was wonderful.
The 5 staff involved were both professional and friendly - so thank you ground crew Max, Ellis and Izzy but a big shout out to Jack and Elia who were on the spot to hear my proposal accepted with 79 metres of air beneath us.

Friends of mine were kind enough to buy me gift cards for both the Skyline View and the Slide. I'm writing this to warn you, please don't make the same mistake. You'll be throwing away your hard-earned cash.
The website won't let you redeem them, simple as that. The phone helpline puts you in a queue for a minute and a half, and then cuts you off. I have rung dozens of times, weekdays and weekends, mornings and evenings, always the same rude result. I've sent three emails over the last five weeks - all unanswered.
Customer service is an absolute disgrace. The money spent on my gift cards will be going to waste because it's absolutely impossible to reach these people. I'm bitterly disappointed and disgusted, total rip-off.

Like many have said booking it through the virgin experience is a disaster and the customer service isn’t great.
Arrived with our friends for a fun experience. The views are good and as it was a West Ham home game it was nice seeing the fans.
The slide however is a bore fess more like a cup of tea round at grans house on a Sunday. All 4 of us came off and didn’t really know what to say as it’s slow no views and tbh quite boring.
We then worked our way to where we had Prosecco with the West Ham fans in the sun. There was a debate between staff where to put us as we were not dress in West Ham shirts blowing bubbles which was odd. Common sense by one person prevailed and we went in. To be fair it was by miles the best part.
Unfortunately I can’t think of any reason people would pay so much for a slow 20 second slide.

My child (9yrs) and I had a fantastic time on the slide and the views across London from the viewing platform was incredible. The staff were great and helpful. We arrived slightly late but they didn’t rush us when us even though we were the last people there before closing. We walked down the stairs and that was quite surreal as for some of it you don’t feel like you are getting any closer to the ground. They had lockers so we were able to store our bags whilst on the slide

Attempted to book using a voucher we were gifted for our wedding.
The email on the buyagift website was wrong, then I found the correct email when I rang the team. I've had no response, despite chasing via phone and email multiple times. I just want to see if my booking has been made or not!!!
Sitting on hold for 10 minutes to be told no one is available and to try emailing instead when no one responds to the emails is very frustrating.

Amazing experience! Was arranged for my special birthday along with our teens, and honestly had so much fun. The staff were so informative, encouraging, supportive that it made the whole experience even better. There was a young man who was doing his first shift there and he was so full of information about the site and told us about his first abseil experience there- lovely to see such a happy work team. Thank you so so much!

My husband, Brian, abseiled the 262 feet from the Orbit and thoroughly loved it. It was extremely well organised, the staff were friendly and helpful and it was a great experience both for Brian and us watching. We would thoroughly recommend.

As per the website & internet.
The ArcelorMittal Orbit does not have a visitor car park. Nearby there are two independently operated, chargeable car parks – Stratford multi-storey car park with 588 parking spaces (located off Great Eastern Road, E15 1BB) and Westfield Stratford City car park with 5000 spaces.

Hi, I'd like to update everyone reading this review. Despite a face-saving response from Janie in Customer services here on TripAdvisor, absolutely nothing came of their promised "investigation". I never did manage to redeem my coupons or get a response from ArcelorMittal. Please be warned!

Last week as a result of the weather we received an email to say our booked trip had been cancelled. We were offered a voucher to be used within the year. My wife suggested that I call them to discuss. The customer service person I spoke with was incredibly helpful and said she would call me if there was a possibly we could visit on Saturday. She called me back and we managed to participate as intended. Hopefully you will have similar success.

Hi Janie on the Management Team (or any member of the team). Thanks for the generic response to my review, I look forward to the possibility of hearing from you properly. I sent you two emails directly on 1st July - a full response to one of those would be appreciated. This is your chance to prove to me that your company cares remotely about the customer experience. I'll happily delete my review if you give me reason to. Kind regards, Paul Huntingford

Hello Paul,
Thank you for giving us another opportunity to make this right for you. I've had a look through our inboxes and I wasn't able to find an email from you on 1st July. Would you kindly drop us another quick note with 'Attn:Janie' in the subject line so I can reach out to you personally?
Kind regards,
Janie

I abseiled the outside rather than taking the more roundabout route but a previous answer from a slide rep implied you can unless the jeans or boots have large metal studs which could damage the ride

We are delighted you will be joining us this weekend. You certainly can wear shorts/skirts/dresses. All we ask is that you not wear any sharp shoes or items that could damage our slide mats or more importantly cause harm to yourself on the way down. We look forward to seeing you.

It varies. About 20 minutes when I was there. My wife was straight on the occasion she went.

R u strapped into a chair? Or just a mat?

Its like a little pouch that your legs go inside of (came up to just above my knees) and two handles on the side. You are given a helmet and some arm protectors which are surprisingly comfortable! The staff guide you through everything (in terms of how to have your head and shoulders placed) and then you start yourself off.
