Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.

Not much from the outside but really great inside. Small and not much seating. Stained glass really nice. Recommended

The tower is seen from afar. Bells are ringing in the Spa Park.the inside is beautiful, especially the light blue ceiling.

The Our Most Holy Redeemer & S. Thomas More Catholic Church in Chelsea is yet another beautiful church in London. Located in Cheyne Row (a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of the shopping, entertainment, etc of Chelsea) this place is a haven of peace, calm & tranquility.

Very Beautiful Church In Chelsea!
Mar 2014 • Solo
During the war the crypt in this church was used as an air raid shelter. 19 people were killed in 1940 when it sustained a direct hit. Damage was restricted to the organ which was destroyed and the floor and west window were damaged. Restoration work has been done. The church was built in 1894.
Behind the main altar is a painting of the Crucifixion . Thomas More was added to the name of the church in 1935 after his canonization. The church is near the house where he lived until he was hung at The Tower of London in 1535. There are half moon paintings of saints below the windows on the sides of the church. There is also a Pieta and a nice organ that replaced the one that was destroyed. This church is worth stopping and reflecting in, while marveling at its beauty.
