I had a really bad experience with a female staff I had booked online into the diving pool instead of the swimming pool as the app is not clear however there were plenty of spaces in the swimming pool, I had paid so I couldn’t see the problem. The female staff was incredibly rude and when I sent a email to their customer services which took 2 and a half weeks to reply because they could not find the email, yeah right. There response was a one liner just said they do do refunds. This kind of attitude is unbelievable for the sake of £5.00. My whole purpose was... your staff member was rude and there were spaces but I couldn’t go in .. why ??? What does a company like this hope to gain with this attitude.
They have little facilities to offer because of covid but the public still go, what a mean company.

Unfortunately, covid has made this place an absolute mess.
They don't let you shower before you get into the swimming pool, they say people should shower at home. What about the trip to the swimming pool? Where you come in contact with all sorts of people and sweat? Plus, even after you leave, you're not allowed to use soap/shampoo when you shower, and of course no hairdryers, so you have to go home dirty and wet shower again. Ridiculous!

Total waste of time and money. Way too many people in one session. You have to wait at least 10 minutes in a queue every time you go on it. Some woman in her 60‘s was so slow, absolutely no consideration for the kids behind her, she should have been booted off. Out of 60 minutes you probably stand in a queue for 45 minutes.
Will never come back again

Visited the Aquasplash in May half term. It was chaos. Way too many people on the inflatables. Ridiculously long queue to get in them. No time to actually play — you have to run across the ‘course’ and off the other end as quickly as possible to make way for the hoards or people behind you. Lifeguards endlessly blowing their whistles but unable to attract the attention of swimmers who are, anyway, unaware of the rules. Lots of small children despite 8+ age requirement. Not possible to swim in any of the pools after the session - pool closes for an hour.
Wouldn’t go again. Wouldn’t recommend.

Booked online for my 8 year old son and myself as I was unsure about the depth of water and his confidence. However I need not have bothered he spent the hour jumping in solo. The jackets are a great bonus even adults were wearing them.I think 1 hr is sufficient. It has two lanes the queues moved pretty quickly very clean with plenty of
bodyguards.
Online booking was not allowing me to get to the payment page wyen using membership barvodes so booked as non members

The fabulous Aquatic Centre which was seen the world over at the time of the London Olympics 2012, is a wonderful place for anyone to go for a swim. There's three pools (the main racing pool, the warm-up pool, and the diving pool). There's also a big gym and a cafe. As you might expect, changing facilities are first-class (and notably good for disabled swimmers), and staff are helpful and very friendly. It's a great experience to keep fit in such an iconic building.

I bought a ticket for £6.00 to swim in the competition lane as an adult and drove from Cambridge. Then I was told that "due to a booking error" the lanes would be closed and I had to swim in the training lanes. So, I moved to the training lanes and was told very officiously the only place I could go was the baby pool. So, I sat in the baby pool then went to get a refund. I was rudely refused a refund with a shrug and "what can I do, it's just the rules". The showers also had big, black matts of hair on them with blocked drains, the drains backing up with subsequent flooding and smells. Don't go here, stick to your local pool.

It is great to see that this centre is being well used after the Olympics. Huge aquatics centre with 50m competition pool, diving pools and 2 more swimming pools all under one roof! We visited for the Essex Open Gala and we were not disappointed. Amazing place to experience, worth a look - you can imagine it filled with hopeful Olympians back in 2012.

First visit since pandemic reopening, felt very safe. Well organised, booking new time slot system on app quick and easy, into the pool within moments. Wider lanes are great, overtaking is better for all. Plenty of staff around to guide. Great experience.

Worst service ever! For a big swimming centre I would have expected more help. Emailed several times but no progress and assistant. Tried calling but couldn't get through to anyone and I even physically went to the centre and was given NO help. I left my number with a staff so that the manager could call me back but I have had no calls. How am I suppose to get a refund for the lessons I haven't taken since February!
