Address
Neighborhood: Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
How to get there
  • Oxford Circus • 3 min walk
  • Bond St • 6 min walk

Lovely boozer on a side street off Oxford Circus. Great food. Nice beers. A very Covid safe. Friendly staff too. Especially Marta, she was really nice.

Really cool pub right by Oxford Circus. Great range of beers and the burgers are top notch! Great selection of vegan/veggie meals too. Friendly team.

An historic boozer on the south side of Cavendish Square advertising not only its standard pub fayre but also regular musical and other entertainment.

Located near Oxford Circus but on the less touristy side so offers a bit more room to manoeuvre. Good selection of beers and they also serve food. Good for a Saturday night out.

Walked in at 21.20 and walked out straightaway. The noise (not Motown) was horrendous. Standing room only, and very little of that! - very, very crowded. Great if you love to be deafened and squashed at the same time!!
Returned after midnight, and the music was by then as advertised - great Motown music, not deafeningly loud, and room to dance.
So, timing is of the essence if you are going for the advertised event.
