Address
Neighborhood: Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

Delightful chocolate shop in a beautiful Mayfair arcade

Visited Charbonnel Et Walker and were warmly greeted by the assistant who explained some of the history of the chocolate store and their signature sweets. We tried the gin truffle, the chocolate truffle and the salted caramel milk chocolate truffle - all delicious! Highly recommend a visit

The atmosphere was awful. The staff were clearly not being looked after by their senior colleagues as they were not the kindest to them, even when there was a customer in the room. The place is tiny and the full selection was not on display so they are clearly not keeping up with stock. It's a shame really because I usually like the products but this visit will make me stop going after 10 years of buying from them.

Famous luxury chocolatiers in Bond Street

My eldest sister trained as a beautician round the corner from this wonderful shop in the late 1950s and used to come home sometimes with just two chocolates (for our parents), which was all she could afford. So this was a trip a long way back down memory lane for me. It doesn’t seem to have changed much, if at all, over the decades. The assistant welcomed me in and encouraged me to take photos for my sister. The chocolates look amazing, but so do the prices. Nothing changes! A truly magical place.

Not the best chocolate I have ever tasted. End of story

Dreamy chocolate? Really? Not better than Harrods confections OR GODIVA for that matter. The store is BEAUTIFUL and not horridly priced. But one bite of the "sugar forward" chocolate, reminiscent of what you get by the ocean at Cape Cod and the let down sets in. Why people would go out of their way to spend money on this product, is beyond me. BUT, service is magnificent and the story is GORGEOUS.

Chocolate extravagance

Treat yourself to a wee bag of individual chocolate delights, lots of soft centre flavours to choose from in milk and dark chocolate.

This small shop is a my MUST VIST in London. I do vist and buy chocolates there every time I go to London. Their chocolates are just great and I found the variety growing. Flavour and taste are perfectly arranged, and it is obvious that their products are carefully made.
I also like the fact that they do not expand the space or move to elsewhere more spacious. It is pretty much of a traditional and old fashioned style of selling the products but is also the way I enjoy buying things that I did in my childhood.

Dreamy chocolate
May 2018
My boss visited London during May and June, he bought some chocolate as a souvenir. I like the red ribbon and the crown on the box. It feels very luxurious somehow. The chocolate is amazing, just want to keep on eating. Salty caramel is my favorite, I try it for the first time and feel like I have missed out on something for so long.

My favorite truffles in London
Jul 2018 • Family
I love chocolate. So, I researched from the US where the best chocolate shops were. Charbonnel Et Walker came up as one of the top 5. For me, it was the best. My favorites, and I sampled many were the Milk Caramel Sea Salt Truffle and the Pink Champagne Truffle. Very expensive, but I had to bring some home! I also enjoyed the unusual taste of the rose chocolates that I was told are favorites of the Queen. Brought those home, too. It is an actual rose petal on top. They chocolates can be shipped. Note you can buy this chocolate at Heathrow airport and Selfridges, but I liked actually going to the shop and asking about the favorites AND THE SAMPLES!
