I have to say that I like Gray's but I am reluctant to buy anything. There are lots of people like me who nip in to have a look around and the traders get a feel for who's a serious buyer; so, they are not...More

It is perhaps yet another indicator of the apparent difficulty in maintaining a viable business in this sector, that every time we visit Gray's Market there seems to be less to get excited about. It is no different in Paris or New York in our...More

I took my Mum here yesterday (Saturday) and left feeling very dissapointed, she had wanted to visit here for a long time. The main antique centre (which seems to be 90% jewellery units) had perhaps a third of the units open, we spoke to one...More

Take the tube to Bond Street and you'll be at this amazing collection of antique dealers, jewellers and vintage clothes stores. It's just off Oxford Street and within walking distance to Hyde Park (where we walked afterwards). A fun place to visit and browse even...More

A nice place to visit on a rainy day. All shops are inside the building, offering large collections of silver and gold, expensive watches etc. Collector's items, antiques, they all are for sale at high prices. Bargain hunters need to come woth thick wallets.

This place goes from the sublime to the ridiculous. You can, if you wish, buy a £25,000 diamond ring, then go pick up a sackful of fake antiquities for a hundredth of that. The range and coverage is a little erratic. They are big on...More

Located just five minutes from Selfridges, Gray's Antiques Market is a good place to browse when the weather is bad. The conspicuous security presence (including big guy on the entrance door!) indicates the monetary value of the sales stock. The emphasis is very much on...More
