A lively Italian close to Sadler’s Wells we were early for Singing in the Rain haven’t been in Exmourh Market for a long time lots of choice but Santore looked busy & friendly. Food was good & speedily served by professional staff. Two people two course glass of fizz each £67,67 Would go again with more time & explore the market.

I worked close to Exmouth Market back in the 60's, it was a bustling street market in those days mainly fruit and veg and it was the heart of the local community. Little has changed in that respect it is still the heart of the local community but the street fruit and veg stalls have been replaced by so many bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. It now has a vibrant and exciting night life as well as an interesting visit for lunch. Well worth a visit or two.

I work just off Exmouth market and can confirm the food is phenomenal. The only problem? Good luck trying to choose between the stalls- it's all delicious. The Thai is my favourite, a thoroughly pleasurable attack on the senses. The service isn't always quite as pleasant but it's all so delicious I'm quite happy to overlook that!

I am a recent local to the area, however I have been an intermittent visitor to this market in the past.I am a fan of London markets, this used to be one of the best.My favourite being Whitecross St EC1.The glaring thing one notices here is the prices in general from shops, restaurants and stalls have risen but quality hasn't. Gails charge £4.50 for a slice of carrot cake..Briki charge silly money for a cold chocolate drink. Bun Cha is one of the worst restaurants on the market.Of course some places are great Santore being the star as is The Cinnamon Tree. What has happened is it all has become uber trendy but this does no favours to anyone. As everything trend wise has a shelf life, the clearest victim is the market itself, its a shadow of its former glory, and thats a shame, it has a few generic wrap and the like nowadays but nothing more imaginative.Even the pharmacies prices are higher as it the DIY shop and most stuff, also barber are more pricey... All in all, I think this a great shame, yes Clerkenwell is classed as a high end area now but ordinary folk live there.. Exmouth ain't for them any more...

It's an old fashioned street market that is now harking back to yesteryear. Mainly an eating venue nowadays.

Exmouth Market is a must-visit attraction for any foodie in the world.

Why? Because as I discovered, it's a street food market below a railway arch offering an array of cuisines from around the world, from Brazilian and Venezuelan to Japan to Vietnamese.

As I walked through the narrow street amidst a sea of colourful national flag hanging above you, my nostrils will picked-up a riot of mouth-watering aromas, as trains whizz above me.

It's busy but not overwhelming so, and the sides are lined with independent shops selling anything from artisanal bread, craft gin and vintage homewares.

When the sun's out, I noticed people dining alfresco. I also noticed people queuing for food and from my experience, where there's a queue, you know the food here is good. From savoury to sweet, you'll find something to suit your palate here.

Many of the vendors accept cards and as a Londoner born and bred, I think Exmouth Market is one of those places that represent the best of London: full of colour, smell, sound, colour and diversity. Highly recommended.

This is the sort of place that you see in a movie, where the owners of the shops and stalls mix with the residents to create an atmosphere that you cannot buy or make up.

Take a stroll from dawn and you can still find yourself there at sunset, with a place to have breakfast, have a haircut and a massage, but a change of clothes, treat your loved one to flowers or jewellery. Then go on to have dinner until ltd and a nightcap in a pub.

What a find

This was our local market on our first visit to London and we came here 3 times in the week we stayed there! Cheap, full meals and a nice park nearby to enjoy the food. Good coffee spots along the street there too.

what comes to mind when thinking of a market? stalls selling fruit and veg, toiletries, fish etc.A shop selling records. Do you get the picture ? London markets are changing. They have evolved. Exmouth market has something different to offer, bars, restaurants and street food from the many stalls, selling food to cater for every taste. This is the market place of 2016.

This is an interesting street with a few good restaurants. (Moro Tapas bar, Banh Mi). There is also street food being sold but nothing interesting in the offerings. However, if you are looking for unusual gifts, I highly recommend "Bagman and Robin". The shop sells handmade bags and wallets and other knickknacks. Marco, the owner, makes all the bags in the shop with interesting fabrics - using old kimonos. Out of these he fashions interesting wallets, pouches, back packs, evening bags. I buy many gifts from this shop and it has made many people very happy. This is my reason for going to Exmouth street. As for the claim that it is the 10 best street in Europe ... Hmmm ... ..
