Located in the heart of the fashionable Knightsbridge, Mandarin Bar has become one of London's most popular destination bars, the premier place to see and be seen, with stylish, late-licensed surroundings to accompany its ambient buzz. Contemporary in design, the long, marble-topped bar captures immediate attention. Designed as a catwalk that springs into the room from a glass wall and flanked on either side by high bar stools, the glass back-wall is lit in a warm red creating a backdrop of silhouetted images. Bespoke, handcrafted cocktail glasses resemble the models walking the runway as they sit on the bar, and the cocktails served are fashion themed.

This hotel continues to be like a maze. It feels as though you walking through the back corridors as opposed to on the way to a special experience. the bar itself is somewhat underwhelming: no array of drinks on show, no cocktails being whizzed around at high speed in polished shakers, in fact no staff behind the bar. It's dark... More

Excellent spot for a special drink. Had a few birthday glasses of champagne yesterday lunchtime, sat at the bar with Hyde park in the distance. Friendly, attentive service and excellent drinks. Would recommend and return.

Good drinks served by highly trained waiters make this a very comfortable bar to have a few drinks. The best mixed nuts at a bar. Truffle cashews almonds macadamias with goji and pumpkin seed. Enjoyable!! Worth looking for the new temporary entrance to the hotel.

Nice bar with good drinks. Definitely better bars in the area! Try the bar at the Berkeley hotel around the corner. Beautiful!!!!

We met up with our daughter for drinks to celebrate her birthday. The bar is on the first floor and is made to look bigger than it actually is by the careful and imaginative use of mirrors. Seating is plush and comfortable and the bar menu extensive, if on the expensive side (small glass of white wine: £12, Martini; £18)

We popped into the Hotel Bar after a busy Sat shopping afternoon. The waitress who looked after us was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. I don't like cold drinks so she went downstairs to get me a warmer bottle! She also charged my husband's mobile phone - really lovely customer service. Drinks are expensive but that's what you expect... More

Went for bubbles, early evening, after a long and wonderful lunch at Outlaws at The Capital next door. An odd bunch of guests in the bar, and surley, enthusiastic service from the wine waitress did not create a good ambience. Bar was not as chic or cool as I expected - there are far better places to go in London.

Absolutely love this bar. This is my haunt for a whiskey on the rocks. Ideal for after work and very close to major attractions (if you are a tourist). As a Londoner, i think this is on par with the best bars i have been too. Staff are friendly and courteous and the spirits and wine selection is extensive! Looking... More

This is a place I used to go to regularly however I decided to stop going there and spending my money in nearby places after being treated so badly by the female staff. Worse, even the night manager would take the side of the foreign female staff, so disgusted by this I decided to stop going there and meet my... More

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
