It really is an oasis in the middle of a busy city like London. A peaceful spot filled with greenery and a lunch spot for a lot of people. Having tramped across quite a bit of London all day, it was a nice spot to...More

This old church ruin is originally dating back to around 1100 as a place for a church, and it is located between tall office buildings in Londons finansiel district. When the constant buzz of London gets to you, this is one of my favorite places...More

This church was destroyed in WWII and the shell of it now houses a garden. The presence of the walls and greenery cuts the noise from the city. It is a really pleasant place to sit and relax.

St Dunstan in the East is only a few minutes walk from The Tower of London, it thankfully doesn’t get its crowds. It’s a small but pretty garden created from the ruins of the church that was bombed during the blitz, leaving only the tower...More

Visiting on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in May, I would have expected more people here, but I must say I’m glad there weren’t. This is a peaceful oasis in the midst of all the activity surrounding it. We sat and relaxed here in the middle...More

I stumbled upon this place by mistake, and it was quite an experience. Quiet and serene, full of beautiful flowers and positive energy. Highly recommended.

I had read about this site on Trip Advisor and didn’t intentionally seek out the place. So glad that I stumbled across it during an afternoon walk. It is a photographer’s dream. Plus not crowded (until the tour came along). And even then - not...More

Our walking tour took us to this charming ruin of a church. Who would have guessed that the remains of an old church that was bombed during WW II could be converted to such an enchanting urban retreat. It is a calm and restful area...More

I do recall stairs, but it depends which entrance you go to. I'm sure there is access, but you might need to go around the outside to access the upper and lower garden areas. Enjoy!

St. Dunstan in the East is free to enter. The park closes at night, but it is 100% free to enter and to sit in with a good book and a cappucino!
